ALL. THE. STARS! I truly wasn‘t sure if I was going to like this one. Bought it was a great deal of trepidation. OMG so very good. I laughed and cried. Written through emails, texts, blogs it tells the story of Iris who dies from cancer but manages to still bring people together after she was gone. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #readingchallenge2022 #marchreadinglist

The day Iris finds out she has 6 months to live, she starts a blog. It‘s the only place she feels understood...I Love epistolary novels💙💗💙

Started a book when I should be sleeping and I'm already more than a third of the way through. My cats are disgusted with me for not being asleep.

I'm such a sucker for epistolary novels. Love them.
Carl the intern is so annoying and I just know he's going to do something that saves the day but I'll still hate him and hopes he falls into a mud pit

Picked this off the library‘s new fiction shelf. Thirty pages in and it‘s definitely intriguing.

I‘m such a sucker for an epistolary novel. Really. And this does not disappoint. It‘s a romantic comedy that made me feel like I was joking about relationships with my best friend. Funny, cute, but not sappy, an easy 4⭐️ Definitely recommend!

When Iris dies, she leaves behind her a hypochondriac sister, a boss with a gambling problem, a mother who raised her in hotels and a blog all about her fight with cancer. What follows is a story told through blog posts, emails and text messages. I found the narrative clipper and jumpy because of it. I also found the characters to be cartoonish with very little to redeem them. And Carl, the assistant who filled her role, was infuriating!

I was looking forward to this one, once I heard about this. This one gave me all the feels. I thought the author did an amazing job, portraying how people deal with death and how yes, life does go on, and it is ok.

A comedy-drama for the digital age: an epistolary debut novel about the ties that bind and break our hearts.

Iris Massey is gone.
But she‘s left something behind.

Told in a series of e-mails, blog posts, text messages, legal correspondence, and other snippets of our virtual lives, When You Read This is a deft, captivating romantic comedy—funny, tragic, surprising, and bittersweet—that candidly reveals how we find new beginnings after loss.

I have kicked off this new year with a bit of a rom com streak... this one is more of a dramedy told in an epistolary/multi-media format. There‘s some extraneous detail that slows down the pacing and the plot is predictable- but I adored intern Carl aka CVS III - he stole the show for me!

It's been a while since I read a book in one sitting, but I couldn't put this book down. A quirky, heartwarming, bittersweet look at grief - with humor, too. Full review will post on the blog sometime soon.

Cinfhen Never heard of this book before!! Sounds great ~ thanks for posting 6y

A day late! Happy Saturyay!
1. I love turkey!
2. Middle Eastern. Hummus, shawarma, kibbie. Yum!
3. I‘ve met tons of authors. My most famous almost met was Mick Jagger. I sat directly behind him at Cirque du Soleil Corteo in Toronto.
4. I‘m reading this book right now and really enjoying it. Comes out in February.

1️⃣ I do try to finish the chapter, if possible

2️⃣ I‘ll read whenever I get a moment to do so

3️⃣ I don‘t need quiet, i grew up with a large family so I learned how to focus in chaos pretty early on. I actually prefer to read with music on.

SilversReviews I grew up with a large family and noise, so I like quiet. LOL!! Thanks for playing. 😊 7y

1. Not always, but I prefer to. But then I can never help myself from reading the first few sentences of the next.

2. Both, but struggle to read when I'm too tired.

3. I prefer relative quiet or ignorable chaos. I cant read with the TV on unless its sports.

@silversreviews #whenyouread

SilversReviews Thanks for playing....I like quiet too. 😊 7y
inthegreensandblues 1- I do that too - get to a stopping point and then scan the next few sentences like a preview before forcing myself to close the book. 😁 7y
