2. My teen daughter read it and said ‘Mum, you have to read this‘ I did and cried my eyes out!
I heard so much about this book. Everyone talking about how amazing it was and how it will break your heart. I try to like it, I really did but maybe I'm just too old for it. Maybe is more for a younger audience because the mom in me was just cringing all the time. It was basically a story about two 15 year old obssessed (in love) with each other. 😮💨
This book was beautiful. One boy and one girl. A bond forged from childhood and cherished thereafter. During teenage years they are separated, only to be reunited when the greatest heartache is yet to come. A range of great secondary characters that made the story even more unforgettable. A stand-alone, tear jerker that I read in two nights. The authors writing takes you on a beautiful journey which will leave you moved and inspired.
5⭐️
This book hurts. Like rips your heart in half and then squashes it to the floor, hammers it flat and then rips it apart again hurt. All of this and I'm barely 25% in. wow.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
A sweet, sappy and sad love story that was a little predictable but I still enjoyed. It was a fast read because I could skim or speed read through some parts. I didn't cry but did get emotional only at the end with Rune's dad.
I just finished it and it was pretty good, but also a bit sad. I had a feeling about what the twist was and I was right.
Rip my heart out why don‘t you!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #goodread #pageturner #ripmyheartout
“Because something so beautiful can never last forever, shouldn‘t last forever”. This line spoke to me
Currently reading and I wonder if I‘ll fall in love. I think I‘ll have strong feelings about this one
I‘ve been looking at this one and after watching a couple of reviews I had to get this one. Still using my Christmas blanket as I haven‘t had a chance to put it away after having to stay with my Mom for awhile and this was my nightly blanket. You need a good book to make you cry when you have a mom with dementia. #6 of 2023
I knew from chapter one that this book would be a tearjerker. Though I knew what would happen, I could not put the book down. What a bittersweet book. And my heart almost burst.
Reading for our mother daughter book club. Not a book I would pick for myself to read, and it‘s taking a lot for me to not bail at only page 70. I‘m committed though and maybe it‘ll get less sickly sweet??
Super sweet, heartbreaking story. I wasn‘t expecting the epilogue! Poppy and Rune‘s story was a strong reminder of how precious life is and how grateful we should be for the relationships that make us feel loved and complete.
#Bookrecommendations from a fellow reader 🌸💌
Poppy and Rune. The childhood sweethearts. Their tale was so beautiful that it hurts.
This book taught me that age doesn‘t define the weight of love
I didn‘t want their story to end. But then again, “something so beautiful can never last forever, shouldn‘t last forever. It stays for a brief moment in time to remind us how precious life is, before fading away just as quickly as it came”
You know its good when it‘s filled with sticky notes🙃🙃
A thousand boy kisses by Tillie Cole .
It was a heartwrenching read.
This is an extraordinary love story of Rune and Poppy.
They met and developed a bond which was cherished for a decade .
When a seventeen-year-old old Rune returns from his native land, Norway to the sleepy town of Blossom Grove, Georgia, he had just one thing in mind.
Why did the girl who was his soul mate cut him off without a word of explanation?
I don't even want to do this review because I DNFed it. I was on page 249/355. Cliche to the extreme! The find love again only to lose it has been done so many times which I can appreciate. The possessiveness was unrealistic in this situation. If it was meant to be realistic, that was the most unhealthy relationship EVER. The amount of drilling that was done to get the fact that they were soul mates hurt my brain. This book I will not recommend.
This is a love story between Rune Kristiansen and Poppy Litchfield. They have known and loved each other since they were 5.
Poppy is trying to have her special thousand boy kisses and fill her jar with them. This is an adventure which her grandmother had sent her on.
Rune had to move away for a couple of years, but when we comes back to his Poppy everything has changed.
One kiss lasts a moment. But a thousand kisses can last a lifetime. One boy.One girl.A bond that is forged in an instant and cherished for a decade.A bond that neither time nor distance can break.A bond that will last forever.Or so they believe.

Okay so this book broke me completely. I‘ve cried harder at other books but I cried so many times throughout this and I even had to put it down for two weeks at one stage. I love love love books that contain point of views from both main characters and Runes passages always shattered my heart. It‘s heartbreakingly beautiful and I‘ll praise this book over and over again.
Very rarely a book can make me cry but this one did easily. It's sweet, sad yet happy. And oh, that ending! If you need a YA tearjerker add this one to your list and read ASAP!!
