A Nightmare on Elm Street is a 1984 American slasher film. It stars Heather Langenkamp, John Saxon, Ronee Blakley, Amanda Wyss, Jsu Garcia, Robert Englund as Fred Krueger, and Johnny Depp in his film debut. The plot concerns 4 teenagers living on one street in the fictitious town of Springwood, Ohio, who are invaded and killed in their dreams, and thus killed in reality, by a burnt killer with a bladed leather glove.

I was allowed to watch everything growing up. These movies were a big part of my childhood. I remember watching the first one with my mom because she is a huge horror buff. It‘s what I think of when I think of horror.
