One of my favourite reads ever so far, perfect for people who love therians or werewolf-esque type stories. A lovely mix of violence, religious themes, inner conflict and all around animal based social structures.

Here‘s my #birthdaybookhaul from this weekend. Got that Beatles book and D.O.D.O. from my favorite used bookstore that I only allow myself to visit yearly because of my tendency to buy so much faster than I read.
Got the start of an Adrian Tchaikovsky trilogy about shapeshifters, a Making of 2001 book, and a Justice League manga amongst other things!
It was a great weekend made greater by Endgame!
Gloomy day on the Heath. But I finished #TheTigerandtheWolf and really enjoyed it! On to book 2! 📚
I loved this and read it one, long "oh no my ass is numb" sitting. I was sad to get to the last page, but enjoyed it right up to the end. Recommend, especially if you're into more Early People fantasy. There's shapeshifting so to speak and believable characters.
...and the Siamese Cat. Pickings were slim at the bookstore (looks like I need a new genre to devour) but these beauties stood out!
Maniye‘s father is the Wolf clan‘s chieftain, but she‘s an outcast Her mother was queen of the Tiger and these tribes have been enemies for generations. All can shift into their clan‘s animal form, but Maniye can take on tiger and wolf
Maniye‘s father plots to rule the north, and controlling his daughter is crucial to his schemes. However, other tribes also prepare for strife. Some say a great war is coming, overshadowing even Wolf ambitions #tbr
If I could give this something in between pick and so-so I would. I mean, I read to the end so something was keeping me there. The protagonist was above average , the characters were above average, the plot was - you've guessed it - above average but nothing really stood out. I feel a little empty, as though a meal had all the right ingredients but overall didn't have much flavour. A safe read but not a life changer!
This is my go to drink - tea! Forget strawberries and cream, tea and books are the match made in heaven. And I get to enjoy both on the way to work. 😄

I've been in a reading funk this weekend. I haven't read a single thing! The last time this happened was before I knew the alphabet. So I thought perhaps starting a new book might help.
Today's #bookmail from bookdepository.com. The Tiger & the Wolf is such a beautiful book, The Paper Magician, The House Between Tides & Six Gun Snow White were all Litsy recommendations and His Bloody Project is a Man Booker Longlist novel. I really don't think I'm gonna manage a #nobookbuymonth in September, but I did buy these in August, they were just delivered now. That counts, right?? #biblioweekend
Since joining Litsy, its pretty much all I talk about. My other other half felt left out and wanted to be included, despite not liking books (opposites attract right?). He said that if I can get 1000 points he'll buy me some books. He's a keeper! ❤️📚
It's 4:45am and I can't sleep. This list might have something to do with it. 😂 Anyone else get anxiety about their #TBR pile? #bookwormproblems
About ready to get stuck into this one 🐅🐅 Came across it @Waterstones and aside from the beautiful cover, it sounds enticing- a story about a girl who is the daughter of both the Tiger and Wolf tribes, but she is an outcast who fears her people discovering that she can take on the shape of the tiger and the wolf... #recommendsday
I love beautiful books, and The Tiger and the Wolf is probably one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. Bought it for the cover without doubt #noshame
