The Celestine Prophecy
The Celestine Prophecy | James Redfield
20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION OF THE CLASSIC BESTSELLER WITH A NEW PREFACE. You have never read a book like this before -- a book that comes along once in a lifetime to change lives forever. In the rain forests of Peru, an ancient manuscript has been discovered. Within its pages are 9 key insights into life itself -- insights each human being is predicted to grasp sequentially; one insight, then another, as we move toward a completely spiritual culture on Earth. Drawing on ancient wisdom, it tells you how to make connections among the events happening in your life right now and lets you see what is going to happen to you in the years to come. The story it tells is a gripping one of adventure and discovery, but it is also a guidebook that has the power to crystallize your perceptions of why you are where you are in life and to direct your steps with a new energy and optimisim as you head into tomorrow.

Mehso-so

Raiders of the Lost Ark meets Dianetics. Some of the spiritual philosophy was actually interesting. But the whole government/church intrigue story was just dumb.

A nice evening to start my #Bookspin out-of-doors 📖

lil1inblue I read portions of this for a class in college and I liked them - I always meant to read the whole thing! 6mo
TheBookgeekFrau @lil1inblue I'm liking it so far. Strangest thing: I'm getting Indiana Jones vibes with a search for a manuscript instead of the Ark of the Covenant 😆 6mo

1. I do not. I do believe in “fake it till you make it” because I have occasionally achieved this, though it can take a toll on one mentally.

2. The tagged book that I never finished.

I have read and re-read these books time and again... and I'm on the path once more.... I have no doubt I'll revisit this book again and again in between reading others. I've already restarted the journey with The Tenth Insight, I just love what these books bring ❤ #reread

This book had amazing content and twists and turns. A man has to go to Peru and find eight insight and stop the ninth from being destroyed. His book had amazing content and is a great read, there are other books in this series

Cfischbuch How did you pick this one? It‘s been ages since I‘ve read it, happy to know you were intrigued. 6y

Super fun approach at a self help book. Great insights to consider in an Indiana Jones type of adventure filled with personal revelations, "ah-ha's" & "mmm hmm" kind of moments. This is the 1st book in a 3 part series & also has a study guide for group discussion. If you're an avid reader & on the path of personal awakening, you'll "get it" without further explanation. But you will probably want to discuss this book with others who've read it.

Had to dig deep to find a book I wasn't crazy about. Everyone raved about this one, but it was #notforme. Sorry James. 😴😴😴😴💤💤💤

Artist Frederico Uribe created this book tree for the Montgomery Museum of Fine Art. Although dozens of books were destroyed to construct this tree, I didn't notice any titles that broke my heart when seeing them used in this way. #bookishchristmastree #seasonsreadings2016. @RealLifeReading

Texreader It's beautiful but hard to see books destroyed--unless their old law school books! 😉 8y
RadicalReader @Kimzey most gorgeous piece of art work i have ever seen in my life totally breath taking. 8y
RadicalReader @Texreader old school books definitely cause me celebration to see their departure. I felt almost overjoyed when I noticed the time of the year when I return borrowed books 8y

These vintage books are my winners for #threwitacrosstheroom day: Billy Budd, because it was soooo dang boring and The Celestine Prophecy, a fine example of the most dreadful writing skills. 😱#photoadaynov16 @RealLifeReading
