Today must be my lucky day ☘️
Just received this from a (non-Litten) bookish friend & thought I'd share here (video in comments):
“At the end of the month, Amazon is taking away the Download to Other Devices feature of Kindle. This means that if Amazon removes a book from their service—despite the fact that you BOUGHT it—it's gone. Or if they decide to update something, your version may be replaced automatically. It will also lock you into the Amazon ecosystem... (cont'd ⬇)
Just got this amazing remote control for my Kindle! It clips onto the Kindle and I can keep my hands free or under the covers. Can‘t use with a cover, but I can live with that. Also have to pair it every time it‘s been over 1/2 hour since you‘ve used it. Easy to do, 2 clicks.
Next up for #readyourkindle #readyourbooks. I‘m hoping to get all 4 of these read, fingers crossed! Thanks @CBee for organizing!
I know y‘all will understand my pain… I am at a book con, and there was an apocalypse themed scavenger hunt. I won a kindle 😳😳 but there are storms in Savannah right now and I can‘t sign in to set it up 🤣🤣 #firstworldproblems
A little late, but here‘s my #ReadYourKindle list for July! Thanks again @CBee for organizing!
Kindle users, there's a 3 months free trial of Kindle Unlimited right now!

(Might be US only, I don't know.)
I deferred one book from last month because apparently it's book 1.5 in the series. So, I'll read book one this summer and if enjoyed, I'll get that eBook off of my Kindle.
Otherwise, this list hasn't changed. I really need to get it together and start getting books off my Kindle! While #ReadYourKindle is helping, I am not actively trying and I want to be more deliberate reading at least a couple next month.
Thanks @CBee for the challenge!

I pimped out my Kindle cover with some new stickers. The Philly skyline is from my old cover, but is still adhesive!

In the spirit of trying every good idea at least once, I'm joining @CBee 's #readyourkindle challenge in February. Friends, I have thousands of unread books in my Kindle account. This is not an exaggeration, but a very real consequence of having zero resistance to literary freebies and 99¢ sales.
So here's my list of 20 titles -- of which I'll finally read a couple in February. Probably.
I have 787 books with pitifully few of that number actually read. So I'm joing @CBee & #ReadYourKindle.
I have mostly romance of varying spice which is hilarious because I'm not a heavy romance reader! But I enjoy these usually quick reads.
I usually pick up free books so this is why my list is mostly romance. However, books 15-20 is either fantasy, Kindle first picks, or mystery.
Here's hoping this is the nudge to get through my Kindle books.
Are there any Littens who can help me? Google has failed me! 🙀When I read ebooks I often end up reading on the kindle app on a device that isn‘t my actual ereader for whatever reason, and I‘m not sure what the ereader does, but the app ALWAYS opens a new book to page 1 instead of the cover page which I hate! Does anyone know a way to change this setting? I haven‘t been able to find one but playing around with the app or by asking google.
So, I bought one. I get the Prime free book a month. I still like a physical book....
I. I keep my iPad with the Kindle app on my nightstand and that has a whole lot of unread books on it.
II. 942
III. Anne Rice. Mary Kubica and Karen Slaughter are more recent auto-borrows. Celeste Ng.
IV. Man Cub. He makes life … interesting. He started 8th grade today 😲😬🥺
