2. Tagged- it‘s hard to describe but I laughed I cried I thought it was so unusual… so I‘ll call it quirky 🤷🏻♀️

This book is such a joy to read. It has heartbreaking moments, but O‘Carroll has a way of delivering them that still has you seeing the bright side. I laughed. I cried. I laughed until I cried. Agnes Browne, the Mammy, is a strong woman with a big heart. I love her. I can‘t wait to read the next one. Good thing I bought the whole trilogy at once.

As part of the March celebration of all things Irish, I decided to focus each day between 1 March and St. Patrick‘s Day on one of the 6 virtues or one of the 10 values (see how perfectly that works out). The first virtue is honour, and this seems the perfect quote to go with it.

I love O‘Carroll‘s view of strong women!!! It sounds like his wife is a lucky woman. This suddenly because a great book for Women‘s History Month.

I read this for a IRL bookclub pick and I was initially sceptical about reading, as it's not normally the type of book I would pick up, but I was pleasantly surprised.
This had me genuinely laughing. I was reading art work at one point trying to keep the giggles inside and not burst out laughing.
This was definitely a pick.
This books has had me in tears 🤣
I am really excited to have this series. The covers are absolutely precious. I‘ve heard so many wonderful things about this series. I can‘t wait to dig in.

Tagged book had parts in it I fell out hollering 😂
I don‘t typically read books you would laugh at but I do howl at the stupidity of story lines before I throw books 😂🤪 #fridayfeeling
Everybody play
#20series20days Day 11
I‘ve read the first 3 and just discovered #4 which is a prequel. Set in 1960‘s Dublin the short but sweet books follow the lives of Agnes Brown and her children from the death of her husband through their adulthood. Looking forward to The Young Wan and getting to know Agnes pre-Mammy days.
Happy St Patrick‘s Day 🍀☘️
If you‘ve not read this do it!!
I fell out of bed laughing a couple times and the rest of the story is so good. 📗💚very sweet.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ I've had this on my tbr shelf for years so this prompt was an excellent push to finally read it. A quick read about a young widow raising her 7 children after her husband unexpected death. Made me think of it as a humorous Angela's Ashes.
Adorable read about a Irish Catholic family growing up in Dublin in the 1960's. Delightful and heartwarming -- it made me laugh out loud at times.
My St. Patrick's day TBR.
This one seems to be calling my name.
I think I bought this when it came out here in the USA in 1999. And it's still sitting on the shelf. I believe there was a television series based on the trilogy this is part of. Seems like a perfect book for today. #marchintoreading #irishauthors #marchmadness #irishstory
I'm waiting for Tom Jones to take the stage at The Uptown here in Kansas City. In the movie version of The Mammy, "Agnes Browne," Tom Jones plays a prominent role. It's going to be very cool to see this legend. Excitement City!!!
One of my all-time favorite books and one of the few I've reread more than a coupe of times.
