Poison Princess, I just read this one and loved it. It's YA, which I haven't read in a long while, and dystopian/apocalyptic.

Queen of Shadows, book 4 in the Throne of Glass series. A great series, if you ask me 😊

Rebel by Helen Hardt. This was one of those books I could not put down. But at the same time, I was trying not to read it too fast. It was so good!

Post apocalyptic world, tarot decks, Cajun hero, sassy heroine what more could you want?! Great read. Look forward to the rest in this series.

An apocalypse, an ancient battle between superhumans that represent the Major Arcana and a hot alpha male book boyfriend with a deeply Cajun accent, this book has a little something for everyone. This book was quite a bit different than I expected but it is so unique in an overly saturated genre and captivated me from the first page. There are a few things I would change but this is a good series starter and I will be reading the others.

Evie is such a selfish girl...She undermines Jack at at the starting until half of the book...And then when she realises that she is falling in love she changes track...🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️...
I hate Evie...
I'm planning to read the next one...But, if Evie keep on being like this, I AM QUITTING THIS SERIES...

5. Poison Princess by Kresley Cole! First book in a great series!

Currently at Hideout Car Wash. Been carrying this book for weeks now. Only reading it when I have time to kill. I'm so hooked with the story but reading it at a turtle's pace. Jason Statham also distracts me.

My student recommended this book to me and went to our school library to get it for me. She returned hiding the cover and asking me to promise not to judge the book by the cover 😂 really enjoyable read despite the slow start!

I'm glad I listened to this on audio. I don't do dialect well so I'd have probably liked it less if I'd read it.

I couldn't get behind Evie. She did nothing for me. I liked the idea of her but she wasn't executed well enough to root for. Also, I love bad boys a lot, but Jackson didn't do much for me either. The best characters in the novel arrived toward the end, IMO.

I heard the series gets better as it goes, so I'll be giving book 2 a chance.

These three urban fantasy series popped in my head when thinking of love triangles. I don't mind love triangles, especially if she picks the guy I'm rooting for.😜 #feistyfeb #lovetriangle

Yes, yes, yes, yessss!! This book and the following books in this series was amazing! It was unpredictable unlike the selection, and didn't have any government influence like Hunger games or Divergent. It was purely up to the characters if they lived or died! This series had Romance (a love triangle), action and brilliant imagery. I suggest this to anyone teen with the craving for romance, unpredictable plots, and action!

I made another run to Hastings as their Going Out of Business sale continues. Used books, graphic novels, and magazines were all 40% off! I bought the first 2 books in the Arcana Chronicles series after it was highly recommended on the Adventures in YA podcast. I was excited to replace my copy of Ephron's I Remember Nothing after it was loaned out. I'm curious about Cronenberg's Consumed. I've heard I need to be prepared for the gross 😝

Compelling characters, intriguing world building, and a fascinating story arch! I can't wait to see where this series goes!

After rereading this one for the umpteenth time, it's still an exciting read. Cole does such a good job building the stage for this new world and her characters have depth with the potential to grow over the course of this story. Full review at 411junkie.com.

Reread this one on Monday in preparation for the release of #.05 Day Zero & #4 Arcana Rising on Aug. 1 & 15, respectively. Can't wait!
