I post a lot of political despair on here, it informs/ interferes with a lot of my reading plans and it means a lot to me to have this amazing, supportive, international community to turn to when I feel like the world is ending. my Brexit depression would be a lot worse without you guys.
I don‘t want to only post about it when there‘s more awful news from Westminster tho. Grateful and appreciative of Bavaria‘s awesome decision!! Go Germany!

1. These days, a lot of fantasy. I need the escape!
2. I don‘t think it rises to phobia but I am scared of bees. I get a nasty reaction to stings.
3. Archaeologist
4. 29 and snowing. And snowing. And snowing.
5. On it!
So originally I was going to do another Bingo, a Supernatural POV Bingo. But I was having a very difficult time finding books written from the perspective of “monsters” (outside of vampires and werewolves) so then I just created this buzzwords map which I hate and am planning on covering up with an undecided something. The buzzword anthology is where I pick an anthology compiled of stories about one of my buzzwords each month.
The cover on this book is incredible! The gold bits are embossed in the cover.
Currently reading The Bees by Carol Ann Duffy
Here's another hit for my obsession/ fascination with bees 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝😝

This is such an eclectic mixture of themes in one collection of poetry.
• World War 1
• The war in Iraq
• Love
• Death
• The environment
• Politics
• Mythology
And of course, 🐝
There is something for everyone in this collection.
Some really heavy subjects in this volume of poetry but the way Duffy portrays them are brilliant.
I loved this one so much I bought my own copy.

“What will you do now with the gift of your left life?”
“Yes, I think a poem is a spell of kinds
that keeps things living in a written line,
whatever‘s lost or leaving - lock of rhyme -
and so I write and write and write your name.”
Carol Ann Duffy was appointed Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom in 2009.
“Here are my bees,
brazen, blurs on paper,
besotted; buzzwords, dancing
their flawless, airy maps.”
Most of the reading I‘ve been doing this semester. #bees #science #landmanagement
Collection of poetry from the British Poet Laureate- nature, seasons and poignant “Cold” recalling the death of her mother. Lovely volume. #Poetry #TbrBacklist
A bit of a mishmash for today's #seductiveshakespeare. (It does include a #Hamlet reference.) But I read this poem by Carol Ann Duffy last night and thought I'd share.

Love the way the light falls across this cover.
