Audiobook: This is the 3rd book in the trilogy about Louisa Clark and the memory of Will Traynor, (Me Before You and After You), but a bit aimless. She moves to NYC to be an assistant to a wealthy couple. The first 1/3 is the best, but after that it began to slog. The spunky fresh-minded Louisa is gone, replaced by a woman who can‘t seem to move forward without a boyfriend…

And that's a wrap.

I loved Me Before You and I was sceptical if this needed to be a trilogy. Having finished book three I wish it was a quartet. I need another book, I'm not ready for this to be over.

I recently said, I hope when this wraps up everyone is in their right places, and they are.

Its been a journey Louisa Clark. You in your bee striped tights have made me smile on many griefy days.

Just live well. Just live.

This book started off beautifully. I could picture every area of New York as if I were back there myself. There were secrets, scandal and a look into the lives of a rich upper class manhattan family. Then the story line just tapered off into nothingness and I was bored out of my mind reading the remainder of the book. I found myself skimming over multiple pages of scene which I felt were so unnecessary to the story.

Lou goes to New York and finds out who she is.

I am very happy with the ending of the series. It was a good book.

Louisa works for a very wealthy family in NY but can her relationship with Ambulance Sam stand the strain of living so far apart?

Pleasant enough but it suffered from my memories of the events in the 2nd book being rather vague apart from the introduction of Lily as a character.

Probably my least favourite of the three books but that‘s probably more to do with my frustrations with the character than the writing. However knowing this is the final book in a trilogy is really annoying because I really really want to know what is going to happen next. I am glad that Louisa stayed true to herself and that she did finally end up with the man of her dreams.

I actually didn‘t realize this was the third part of a series until about 1/3 of the way through. I had seen the movie me before you and finally put it together. tells you it‘s still a great story without having read the other books. I loved the chaos of louisa‘s journey. I liked that a lot there were lot of non cliche turns and even though the ending was pretty cliche it was really good and I think the best way it could have ended.

Loved following Lou to her new life in NYC. This book didn‘t take the path I thought it would, but it still kept my attention and it was great to see characters both old and new make appearances. I‘ll miss reading about Lou and her adventures, but am glad the series had a proper end. I‘m going to try some of Jojo Moyes‘ other books.

Where do I begin with Louisa. Have you ever felt like you have lost yourself or you don't know who you are? Or did you realize later that you were changing yourself for someone? Louisa's discovering of herself in Still Me was wonderful. She also was learning the art of letting go as well. I felt a kindred spirit thing while reading her and her journey. I wanted to laugher with her one moment then cry with her the next.

Stayed up past my bedtime to finish off this book! I originally got it as an ARC from Goodreads, and I have absolutely no idea why it took me so long to finally get around to reading it! I love Louisa Clark, and all her crazy adventures. I hope this isn‘t the last in the series. ♥️🤍💙

This is the 11th book read this month off of my personal shelf. #marchunshelfing

Good morning!
Do you read books in languages other than your mother tounge?

#readingmom #jojomoyes #danish

julesG Yep. I read in English, which is not my mother tongue. I read children's books in French and the Scandinavian languages. And I love reading manuals in other languages - but I don't consider them "books" 5y
LiljaPleasant @julesG That's nice. I'd love to refresh my french, but since I want to learn spanish as well, I moght just end up totally confused 🤣 Did you learn one of the scandinavian languages? 5y
julesG I picked up a bit here and there and started learning Swedish properly at the local community college and through Duolingo. At the moment I'm brushing up on my French with Duolingo. Since I started learning English and French at the same time (aged 10), I understand that it can be confusing. Have you tried Duolingo? It's very good for brushing up on a language and learning a new one. 5y
LiljaPleasant No. Never tried that one before. But I heard a lot about it and how everyone seems to be quite pleased with Duolingo. So I should probably finally get it myself 🤣 5y

It‘s a love story. And I love it. I liked it much better than the second volume. Of course, it‘s not free from foreseeable turns and cliche-like developments (Agnes, Sam, Margot) but I loved Lou‘s New York too much to let this mess my reading experience and entertainment. The bits of life wisdom on top made my heart melt.

Plus: My alarm clock ⏰ will ring in about three hours. 😱 Who writes an excuse note for me❓

Almost page 200.
Almost halfway through. 🤥

Okay, through with a bit more than one third.
But I like it, it‘s quick, easy and entertaining in a good way. Not as lengthy as volume two.

But *sigh*, yes, I know that there are genre-regularities to “obey”, but, you know, the plot is set in the Internet Age. So, why not use the possibilities this offers instead of artificially forcing exactly that kind of conflict every 5-year-old can guess. 🤐

Littens, I don‘t know, if it‘s worth it to be rich. (Most of the time I think, no.)

But having a personal assistant, my own personal assistant, only at my side for _me_ and me only, seems veeeery tempting, doesn‘t it❓

Or is it just me and my snobby self❓

Anyone like-minded❓

(It reads easy. More fluent and entertaining than my last book.)

Caroline2 I would love a PA! And a nanny, cleaner and chef to come and cook dinner every evening! 😊 5y
Buechersuechtling @Caroline2 🙋🏽‍♀️ A soulmate‼️ I will never understand why life implemented that most of the nice, wonderful things one can do throughout the day turn into grey, annoying, weighing a ton burdens as soon as they lose their spontaneousness but _must_ be done, instead. 5y

Also from yesterday‘s stop at the bookshop. 😇

It‘s the third volume in the “Me-before-you”-series and I wasn‘t really sure if I wanted to read it when it was announced/came out because I didn‘t like the second volume very much.

But as I saw that it is available as paper back and quite a tome it was a bit of an impulse purchase.

Now I‘m looking forward to it but I think I need to find out about the ending of the predecessor, first.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oh, Louisa Clark, your quirkiness & big heart are just what I needed! Admittedly, I was miffed when Moyes wrote a sequel to the thought-provoking Me Before You. I didn‘t think it was needed. Read After You & was underwhelmed. So, I wasn‘t going to read this third installment, but I‘m happy I did. In NYC for temporary work, Louisa continues her path of self discovery. She befriends several unique individuals. It‘s really a lovely story.

britt_brooke @marleed @Ncostell I‘m glad it‘s not just me! The second book was really frustrating. I thought it was forced, blatant capitalization on the first one‘s success. The third one really made up for that. I‘m kind of sad the series is over now. I love Louisa. 💚 5y
