Cozying up on the bed in the cool rainy weather reading this. I abandoned all other current reads to focus on this adrenaline pumping thriller lol
pickSuch a fun book to listen to while we were on our road trip!
pickThe Last Odyssey was the usual far-fetched, high-octane action as the team rattle around the Mediterranean in search of a lost Bronze Age civilisation. Is the story utterly ridiculous? Yes. Did I get swept up in it anyway? Also, yes 😂 #bookspinbingo @TheAromaofBooks

Rollins‘ ebook on sale! This one was good but not as good as some of his other books.
pickThis is the first James Rollins novel I‘ve read and it was amazing! I couldn‘t put it down! Every chapter leaves you wondering, wanting to know more. I love history and mythology, so having that intertwined into an action packed thriller was perfect for me. Definitely a pick. I‘ll also be reading more of the Sigma Force novels for sure!

pickAnother great Rollins book in his Sigma Force series. Following Odysseus‘s steps, the gang tries to find the entrance to hell before the bad guys do, who hope to start an apocalypse. The beginning of the book about an ancient ship trapped in Arctic ice was heart-pounding. However, I felt like the bad guys never really had an idea of what they were looking for, or else they‘d have been better prepared. So not his best, but thrilling nonetheless. ⬇️

About midnight last night I finished this one, which completed all three of my goals for the #nutsinmay readathon! Review to come
My #nutsinmay readathon goal is to finish this ebook (58% to go), Their Eyes Were Watching God audiobook (about 2 hours to go), and The Last Kingdom (17 pages left). I‘m a slow reader and have a lot planned this weekend so I think these are potentially do-able. I‘ll be thrilled if I hit any of them because I‘ve got to get started on my #authoramonth challenge! @Andrew65
Rollins is back on top of his game with this book. It‘s all action (see quote) to prevent an apocalyptic disaster that has its roots in the Golden Age of Islam (my primary focus of history when I was in college), ancient and mysterious science, and more.
Even the prologue is about DaVinci and that annoying upstart, Michaelangelo!
This is why I love James Rollins so much.
Does anyone besides me get all giddy when they see the word “afoot”? To me it portends of action and excitement ahead. Buckle your seatbelt because this next chapter is going to be good! Anyone else?
I also swear in all of the high-adrenaline Rollins books I‘ve read, this is the first time he‘s used “afoot.” I may be wrong but that‘s a word you don‘t forget easily.
Baako was one of my favorite characters ever in a Rollins book from what was, I think, Rollins‘ best book in the Sigma Force series. It sure sounded like we might get to meet Baako again and here he is mentioned in chapter 2. I, too, loved that big hairy ape.
So excited to finally read this one. And I‘m going to make it meet a #readingeurope2020 challenge. Just not sure which country. Chapter 1 is in #Greenland.
Daily Deal! I‘ve been waiting for paperback for this book from my favorite author so decided to get this one ahead of time.
