Science V religion? That age old debate has us traveling throughout Spain on a mad dash to find a 47 character password and I loved this journey. Not only would I read anything Dan Brown writes, I would literally follow Robert Langdon in his tweed suit anywhere.
I cried over Winston and barely half hour later I was swearing over his presumptuous behaviour. I know he's AI but this is fiction and I want him to be accountable for his actions.

I always heard his name being mentioned everywhere. Personally, it's very much an intellectual adventure at he beginning I felt hooked to the book the growing tension between the characters. His book has all the hallmarks of his Langdon series; vivid locations, historical tie-ins and a mad dash to the final reveal when we learn the secret Langdon has been chasing. Origin has all of that in typical Brown fashion, however, for me the reveal

Langdon finds himself amidst another mystery, this time to find out what his friend was going to reveal before he was murdered.

Not a bad book, but if I had to hear one more sentence about Robert‘s eidetic memory, I was about to throw the book out the window.

Jeannineth 😂. Dan brown, i mean Robert Langdon, is such an egomaniac. 4y

🙅🏼‍♀️I am SO happy to be finished with this. The only reason I didn‘t bail is because it‘s such a quick read. I loveddddd DaVinci Code and Angels & Demons but I‘m thinking Robert Langdon (and maybe Dan Brown 😬) should start looking into retirement 🙃 #origin #danbrown

Not his best Robert Langdon novel. An interesting enough story, but the thrill just wasn‘t there compared to Angels and Demons, DaVinci Code, and The Lost Symbol.

This book has all the usual suspense, but then at the end it‘s amazingly philosophical as well. I spent the entire book desperately wanting to know what the big announcement was, but that was kind of anticlimactic. There was nothing new in the announcement, even for 2017. Winston, as a character, was the most intriguing and brought the philosophical twist. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

GingerAntics He‘s certainly something of an antihero, which certainly adds to the philosophical dimension. This is my favourite Robert Langdon novel yet, but I certainly hope there is another in the works as we speak. #DanBrown #RobertLangdonSeries #Origin 4y

This book was released in 2017. Given his turn around time on books, it‘s likely the main ideas for this book were solidified long before Trump ran for or bough the presidency. I wonder how much of these little details were added in response to Trump‘s campaign.

And we are seeing the results of this right now with right wing conservatives the ones least likely to wear masks, socially distance and stay home. Meanwhile, they are most likely to thrown tantrums in the store, spit in people‘s faces and pee on the floor. (I maintain that when this is over, these people‘s kids are going to act like that because that‘s the example being set. “I don‘t want to, so I can have a tantrum.” Good luck with that folks.)

I guess if people want to deny science and evidence in church, more power to them, but schools should be teaching science, not mythology. We have a separation of church and state. We need to respect it.

Origin almost ALMOST deceived me! No spoiler intended, but I'm disappointed that it was predictable. The twist at the end of the novel is not a twist for me 🙄. Knew it and expected it.

Typical Mr. Brown to give a very detailed explanation on places, arts, symbolisms and I really enjoyed all of them.

3.5 🌟 out of 5 🌟

Another thrilling, suspensive and semiotic adventure of Rober Langdon. The theme of the book revolved around the basic question we as a human being always asked "where we come from?" and "where we are going?" Those are the questions to which Dr. Langdon's friend Edmond Kirsch was going to answer but he got assasinated by christian fanatic. Then the adventure begins. Dan Brown used AI technology, ancient symbolism very well as always.

I was completely sucked into the story - found the chase really thrilling. I‘d guessed who was behind the drama early on - but this didn‘t detract from the tale. Found it a really easy read and absorbed it in two days.

I like Dan Brown‘s writing but sometimes it seems he gets too in the weeds with detail and I get a little overwhelmed. It almost like he needs to show off how much he knows or has researched in the subject. There are some holes in the general story but over all I enjoyed this audio version. The narration was good.
