pickThis is between a pick and so-so for me. I enjoyed the idea of a lost manuscript found in the drawer of a hotel room & finding out what hands it had passed through in the last thirty years & the people who were immensely affected by it in a positive way. I generally like epistolary novels, but the letters, although written by several different voices, did somewhat sound the same; that extra flowery romantic style of writing which I usually ❤️
"I imagine you thought, quite arrogantly, that your natural charm had worked its magic on me, the poor solitary and exiled woman. Think again! I am vaccinated against the beauty and cheap compliments of men, and the distance you excuse yourself for taking without much tact will not disrupt my walks, nor my five o'clock tea..."

This was a warm French hug of a book. I‘ll admit that I was a little skeptical of this when @BennettBookworm basically insisted I read it. I don‘t always connect to epistolary novels. I was so wrong. It was delightful and affirming of the magic of books to bring us together and nudge us in the right direction. All the hearts. 💗💗💗💗💗

I love how the story is unfolding in this epistolary. More and more is revealed about these characters as time goes on! I hope we ‘Find Waldo‘ - the origin of the lost manuscript!
I‘m enjoying this epistolary novel. It has been on my #TBR stack awhile. I feel like these kind of books need to be read & not listened to and I hardly have time for real reading. I‘m glad I‘m taking the time now.

pickWhat a charming sweet story. The character were interesting, the plot unique, and the settings wonderful. This one brought me lots of joy!
pickI don't think any reader would be able to deny the impactful power of a book. I enjoyed reading about how a manuscript that was misplaced effected so many people over the course of 20 years. Then for the author to be connected back to his lost pages and discover their impact on so many over its missing years.

A novel based on letters between strangers turned friends about a lost manuscript. I really enjoyed this book. Admittedly it would have been better in print form; although, I liked listening to the audiobook.
so-soListened to this #ARC on #audiobook. The narration was good, but the book was just okay. A cute premise, but the plot was overly drawn out. I think that the for as an epistolary novel didn‘t quite work for this one.

Ironic to imbibe an epistolary novel as an audiobook? The #dreamscapemedia production is high quality. The French accents of the narrators added to the ambience. This story is written for readers. A puzzle, light romance, and a great read for anyone who has read a fictional book that transformed their life.
