I did enjoy some parts of this book, but it was mostly about two people being in denial.
I‘ve heard so many mixed reviews on Reckless and Fearless, but so far I‘m having a good time with this one! I‘m over halfway and the only thing that is truly bothering me is the whole Paedyn and Kai relationship tension. I generally hate books like that and I just want to smack them both and say “just kiss and makeup already!” But, that‘s just me 🤷♀️

I thought “Powerless” was a solid start to this trilogy, and “Reckless” was an excellent sequel. Yes, there wasn‘t a lot of actual plot but the character development and relationship progression was *chef‘s kiss*. Also, the enemies-to-lovers romance did NOT disappoint and that ending had me internally screaming (thank goodness I already have the next book!). I can‘t wait to see how this series continues and finishes.
I need the third book now. I need to know how the series ends and yet I‘m praying it ends with the two people I want to see together finally happily together.
This is such an amazing addition to the series and keeps you guessing. We finally get a tiny bit of “action” although I‘m hoping for way more in the next book.

YA that is actually good written in the 20‘s. I loved what was happening in the YA space in the teens and this just gives me all those vibes. Also, wow was not expecting that ending & can‘t believe I have to wait until next year to find out what‘s next. 5 🌟
This book is poetry and I loved it so much. Each ending in this series completely tears my heart to pieces. I only hope the last book mends it. Never had I enjoyed side quests so much. Most beautiful and difficult love story. Reminds me of Romeo and Juliet, and I am scared the comparison even came to mind.
That ending, while predictable, was cruel. I don't look forward to the long wait until the next book comes out. I think I might have enjoyed this one a little bit more than the first one. It didn't feel as repetitive, though it did have its moments. I really like this series, flaws and all. It's easy to get lost in.
Just finished this and what is that ending. And the next one isn‘t out til next year. I really enjoyed this one and hate that I have to wait
#readingbracket2024 My top pick this month was the sequel to my favorite pick from the whole year so far Powerless! I also added another bonus pick which seem to be filling up fast! Let‘s see what Aug brings! #2024readingbracket
I absolutely loved this first book but of course we have 2nd book filler problems. I love how Roberts creates cities and worlds but this book mainly took place on the road as it was mostly a chase between Kai and Pae. The ending was quite a shock though so I know we are leading up to a great 3rd book. I still hung on every word but it was def more about character and less plot. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I managed to get out to the park today and read for a bit before it got too hot! 🌿☀️📖
Decent second of a trilogy (typical flout between book). The “plot” was just a constant chase between Pae and Kai. Was 90% these two trying to hate each other and failing. Miserably. Kai, you have it down bad. But the plot felt like it didn‘t have a lot else going for it. Wanted more of this non-elite society. End plot twist was a surprise all right. What I did like was the continuation of Their traumas. Want more of Kitt‘s trauma.
