Look! The wonderful @Lizpixie did a #payitforward giveaway when she reached 1000 followers and I won! This amazing parcel just arrived today. 😍

Thank you so much, Liz! The books are gorgeous and I'm so looking forward to trying my first Pratchett. Which one should I start with? 🤔

The Aussie extras (I'm in love with that bookmark) and lovely note just made my day. Thank you again, sweet friend! 😘😘😘

Bklover Yay!! Looks awesome! 6y
Moray_Reads I'd start with Small Gods as it's one of the completely stand-alone stories but even though Reaper Man is technically the second Death book you won't miss much by not reading Mort first 6y
rubyslippersreads What a wonderful prize! I've been wanting to read Pratchett too, and also don't know where to start. 😄 6y

Your prize from my #payitforward #1000PixieDust giveaway is on it's way to you now @LeahBergen Sorry it's taken so long, I don't have a car myself & the hubs has been working long hours. But it's in the post now & should get to you within two weeks🤞Thanks again to everyone who entered my giveaway and I'll be doing another one soon!😘😘😘😘

LeeRHarry I haven't seen those bags at Aus Post before - do they have a weight limit or do you still pay by weight? 7y
LeahBergen From Australia to Canada! Thank you SO much. You're the sweetest! 😘😘 7y
Lizpixie @LeeRHarry this one was a 1kg limit, they have other bags for larger weights. They usually are hanging up behind the counter and they're much cheaper than sending just a box. Plus, if you can put your box inside a bag, it's cheaper than sending the box alone. No idea why🤷🏻‍♀️Most post offices won't explain that, I've been to 4 different PO's & my small local is the only one that's given me this info. Maybe the big ones get paid more for boxes? 7y

Lizpixie @LeahBergen you're so welcome! I've wrapped them up securely in bubble wrap so they should get there ok. Congratulations again & enjoy your new books!😘 7y
LeeRHarry @Lizpixie thanks for the info Liz, I'm going to look into this option next time I'm at the PO - a more affordable way to send bookish goodies to Littens would be really useful 😊 7y
Lizpixie @LeeRHarry no worries! I know how you feel, postage from here to the rest of the world is so expensive unfortunately. Just make sure you use bubble wrap coz the bags offer no protection if you don't put it in a box first.👍 7y
Lizpixie @LeahBergen your books have cleared customs in Vancouver so they should be in your hands in the next day or two!✌️ 6y
LeahBergen @Lizpixie Eeee!! I'm so excited! You're a doll. I hope you included your address so I can send you a little something in return. 😘😘 6y
Lizpixie You don't have to do that @LeahBergen giving already gives me joy. I hope you love them as much as I do❤️❤️❤️ 6y

Ohh, I almost missed the amazing #1000PixieDust giveaway! Congrats, @Lizpixie , and thank you!!!

I have yet to find an author who makes me as happy as Douglas Adams. Pratchett gets pretty close, but Adams is still my favourite 😊 It breaks my heart to think that he‘s not among us anymore, but I don‘t really mind having to reread his books over and over again ❤️

Congrats on your incredible follower count @Lizpixie and thanks for the chance to enter your giveaway. Brenda Novak is one of the authors I love because of her versatility and ability to always capture my attention. She‘s very open and friendly with her fans, she promotes fundraising for diabetes research, and she‘s just a swell human being. 🙂

PG Wodehouse is one author that makes me happy. His writing, vocabulary, sarcasm and sense of humour are perfect without being bitter. A great pick-me-up that lifts my spirits! 🙂 #1000PixieDust

There have been others, but I'd have to say that Laini Taylor is the author that makes me happiest. Her writing is beautiful and evocative, and she has a talent in painting vivid pictures of fantastic (and yet realistic) worlds and characters, and yet blissfully free of verbosity and complexity. I don't know how she does it, but I love it and I feel I can safely say I'll be happily reading and re-reading her work for years to come. #1000PixieDust

Congratulations to the warm and wonderful @Lizpixie on 1000 followers! To celebrate, she is doing a lovely giveaway and has asked us what authors make us happy. Here's one of mine.

I reread these books after my Mom died when I didn't feel like reading anything at all for quite a long time ... and I laughed and laughed. Cheers to the restorative power of reading and to you, Liz! 😘

rubyslippersreads I love these books and this author. Have you read 7y
TrishB Lovely post 💓 these are hubby's go to anti-depressives too. 7y
Bette I loved these books as well. ❤️👍 7y
Centique I loved these too and the stage show was my first experience of going to a big “proper” theatre. @rubyslippersreads The Queen and I is my best friends favourite book. I‘m sure she made me read it but it was so long ago! 7y
shawnmooney I loved the first one of the series when I was a teenager! Townsend's life, writing and otherwise, was quite fascinating and often quite sad. Have you investigated? 7y
LeahBergen @mrp27 Thank you! 7y
LeahBergen @Lizpixie And back atcha! 😘 7y
LeahBergen @erzascarletbookgasm Thank you! 😘 7y
LeahBergen @batsy Thanks! 😘😘 7y
LeahBergen @rubyslippersreads I haven't yet but I will! 7y
LeahBergen @TrishB That hubby's a smart one. 😉 7y
LeahBergen @Bette Yes! 😘 7y
LeahBergen @Centique The stage show? That would be so much fun! 7y
LeahBergen @shawnmooney I haven't! Should I? Or is it TOO sad? 7y
shawnmooney I'm sure you can handle it – it would probably make you appreciate the humor in her writing that much more, knowing more about the challenges she faced. I would start with the New York Times obituary. 7y
LeahBergen @shawnmooney Thanks! I'll check that out. 👍🏻 7y
