3✨ As the last book in the series I don‘t want to say much about what is happening in this book. As a series it was funny, each book featured one of the agents and it all wrapped up nicely by the end of this book. #SeriesLove #TeamFlurken #HauntedShelves
In this second in series, we have a change of scenery as Ellie and Adam have traveled to Egypt in an effort to find a holy relic before a ruthless gang of antiquity art thieves, the same nefarious group from their prior adventure. We are introduced to Ellie's archaeologist brother Neil (Adam's best friend) on the fateful dig, and Constance (Ellie's best friend) who's along for the ride and trying to avoid her matchmaking mother.
I technically rated How to Talk so Little Kids Will Listen higher than Gravity Lost, but since this has ended up being an entirely fiction board, I think I'll stick with that theme (and maybe create a second non-fiction bracket for myself)

Ellie & Adam must race to Egypt to beat Jacobs & Dawson to finding the tomb that hides the staff of Moses. Teaming up w/ Ellie‘s friend Connie, her brother Neil, & his friend Sayyid, they hope to protect a lost tomb.
A solid follow up! The relationship of Ellie & Adam stayed solid, the archaeology had me totally hooked, & I loved our new side characters. This is falling into a pattern of White Savior trope, but I loved everything else.🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

When I read this book last week, I had no idea that my hometown was going to face the ravages of a hurricane. Please remember Western North Carolina in your prayers as so many have lost loved ones, their homes, businesses, and cars. Many are still without power, water, internet or cell service ( myself included, I'm currently tethered to my mom's iPad) due to catastrophic flooding. I thank God my family and I are safe.
3✨ When a virus outbreak causes everyone to not act themselves, Flinch is their only hope. Because he does everything fast he develops antibodies quickly and is the only one immune. Making decisions is not his strong suit, but he was the only hope. #SeriesLove @TheSpineView @Andrew65

The ambit crew is back and has been blackmailed to jail-break the man they just took into custody.
This is quickly becoming a favorite sci-fi series for me. It has found family, high stakes space battles, an AI ship captain, and a very fun collection of characters.
When Ellie discovers a map to a lost city, she intends to prove to the world that women can be archaeologists too. Only, there are much darker forces after the city than just capitalists.
An intelligent, rage filled protagonist, her heartthrob expert mapmaker sidekick, & we‘re off on a wonderful adventure. Scene setting was really well done. & the romance! I don‘t usually like romances in adventures, but this one worked for me! 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗
Today I‘ve got two ocean survival stories to recommend.
Gary Paulson is most famous for Hatchet, and The Voyage of the Frog is another story of a boy on his own. David takes a sailboat out and is caught by a storm that carries him far off course.
In Deep Water, Julie and her dad run a scuba diving business and she takes two clients down off the coast of Alabama. When they return to the surface, the boat is gone.
