#LittensLoveRomance Ch.41-46: Someone has been out to get Eleanor for longer than we thought. That‘s probably why she seemed sad when Maggie came across her earlier in the book. Perhaps she invited the mystery writers as a way to help her solve her own case. I liked that Ethan and Maggie are sharing now - I mean, what better time and place than in a dark passageway - no escaping if things get real. So now my question is what happened in Tucson??

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.36-40: Boy, Rupert is a piece of work. How sad to have family you can‘t trust. Poor Eleanor. I wasn‘t surprised there was a secret passage in her house - because of course there is. How fun and potentially useful for her. What will Maggie and Ethan find I wonder?

Sorry @StayCurious ! I hit 100 pages and couldn‘t put it down! I‘m like that with a nice cozy mystery. Plus, this was a lot of fun with the romance plot. Thanks for picking this book for a read along because I might not have prioritized otherwise. It‘s definitely a fun book! #BOTM 🎄 ❄️

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.31-35: I think I may be obsessed with Ethan now - the romance in this book is ramping up, and there‘s no one who deserves it more than Maggie. Man, Colin is a jerk. I feel so bad that she was treated like that by her husband. She deserves so much more!

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.26-30: well things have definitely escalated and now there‘s a chance that Maggie was wrong and they‘re all in danger. But I so wanted her to be right! She better stick close to Ethan because it seems he‘s the only one in the house who‘s thinking straight.

This is what I‘m currently reading and my reading buddy. He‘s the neighbor‘s cat. His name is Sky but at our house, we call him Tom. My mom and I feed him when he visits us so I guess he‘s our cat too. He never went home last night. He stayed inside all night and I put him outside before I went to bed so he could use the bathroom and he was outside today when I got up and I fed him. He went home after that and then he came back again hungry.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.21-25: Maggie is on a mission and she doesn‘t care if she leaves anyone behind. Better she does it first than let them leave her. Which is why she can‘t trust Ethan right now and can‘t share what she thinks she knows. Is she right though? Is this a test set up by Eleanor? If so, there‘s no one who knows her more than Maggie. Maggie is set to win. But will she need help along the way?

I was really interested in this #LittensLoveRomance pick, but I‘m trying really hard to cut down on book purchases and spending in general. Lo and behold I go to check it out (again) and it‘s only $2.99 on kindle AND I have some credits so it‘s only $0.74! I couldn‘t let the opportunity pass. Now let‘s see if I can read it in the next two weeks!

Just wanted to catch up with #LittensLoveRomance but then got sucked in and read the whole story in one sitting.

Loved the banter. The mystery was well-crafted. Enough information to keep me turning the pages, but not too much so that I was bored by the foreshadowing. The snowed in manor would be a dream to visit, including the greenhouse.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.16-20: oh I feel so bad for both Maggie and Eleanor. I think they are kindred spirits. In a room full of idiots (at least mostly). And what‘s up with Ethan being so cagey about his past? Sign me up for that seminar! I need to know all of his secrets. Poor Maggie - it seems she was sorely used by her ex and her ex friend. Seems Colin‘s family lost money and he married her to get her book royalties. Seething on her behalf.

Reading and hockey. I‘d say it‘s a pretty good Tuesday night!

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.11-15 Okay, we‘re meeting everyone and we have to pay attention because there‘s a good bet one or more of these characters is guilty. And they‘re quite the bunch! So Eleanor has rounded them all up this holiday season - but for what? What is she playing at? I‘m so curious!

Starting this one tonight! ❤️💚❤️💚📚 I'm super excited about it!

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.6-10: I‘ve been rewatching Downton Abbey and so far I can‘t help but picture the incredible Maggie Smith as Eleanor Ashley. So what is this mysterious lady up to? And is her niece CeCe involved? Why did she bring fellow mystery writers to her for Christmas? So many questions but I‘m so invested already! I already care a great deal for Maggie - her anxious internal monologue is so relatable. And Ethan is funny so far.

I ripped right through the first 10 chapters. This will definitely be hard to put down each day!

I dove in based on the title and cover art with expecting this to be a bit more holiday centric than it was, but that is true for me in a pile of holiday themed books. This romance was fun, I liked both Maggie and Ethan and rooted for their HEA. A cozy murder mystery writer falling for a serious crime thriller author makes for an entertaining storyline.

So cute!! I needed some holiday fluff and this delivered, I loved the mystery and the romance and the characters, it was just too cute. Fun read, fun audiobook 🔍❤️🎄

#LittensLoveRomance We‘re off to a very interesting start. I feel so much for poor Maggie - she‘s been through a lot. No wonder she‘s a bit of a recluse. Will this mysterious invite and getaway help break her out of her shell? Will she be able to handle having her professional nemesis there for the ride? So far I‘m enjoying the writing style and I‘m curious to know more - about the past and the future.

Loving this dedication!

My Christmas TBR is not going as planned. The plan was to finish the Cinnamon Bun Book Store and then read the Christmas Tree Farm and start my Christmas TBR from there. Im skipping the Dream Harbor books for now and jumping to the rest of my TBR!

I read this book over the weekend. I was sick, so I told my husband to pick me a Christmas book from my shelves and this was the one he brought me.

It was a fun, cozy, quick crime/romance read. #wintergames2024 #xmaschacha

Another cute, fun, story filled with mystery and romance…perfect for your holiday reading!🎄❤️☃️

This was fun! It‘s super modest, despite some outlets calling it spicy, but what it lacks in intimacy it makes up for in twists and genre homages. The whole “Marcie” thing is also just so deliciously mortifying, so it gets a bonus point for that.

Got my December #botm picks today! Looking forward to these books. I think the hat is an ugly color, but I‘ll probably wear it lol.

Good news - I found it on kindle for $2.99 - I‘m hoping it‘s cheaper where you are or you can access your library‘s copy. There are like 66 chapters but I think they‘re short so we‘ll be reading 5 a day starting Dec 15.

This book delivered exactly what I was hoping for based on the cover, title, & summary. It was such a good time & a very fun different kind of Christmas book.
I exclusively listened to the audiobook and really liked both narrators.
I will definitely be reading more from Carter in the future! Highly recommend this one for a fun holiday read!

I picked two for my December #botm box.

I've skipped a lot of months this year, but I'm pretty stoked about December's #botm selections. I think the tagged book may be my most anticipated read for #wintergames2024.

Oh my gosh, I loved this! Mystery writers hunker down at an English manor and find themselves trying to solve a locked-room missing person case. Amazing chemistry, real issues to deal with, Agatha Christie vibes, character growth, just enough conflict to keep it interesting, it ticked all the boxes for me. A perfect read for Christmas time and one I‘ll probably revisit next year just for fun.

This wasn‘t my favorite but it was ok… and I definitely didn‘t guess the culprits!

This was delightfully fun cover to cover! A locked room Christmas mystery romance featuring two author MCs. Maggie is a bestselling cozy mystery writer. Ethan writes spy thrillers and always calls Maggie by the wrong name. They are both invited to spend Christmas at the house of Eleanor Ashley: the reigning queen of mystery (ala Agatha Christie). But when Eleanor disappears from a locked room the first night it‘s up to them to solve the mystery.⬇️

I was thoroughly charmed by “The Blonde Identity”, but this was just okay for me! It was a light and fun enough cozy mystery. 🎧
