I adore John Carney's films, and I was finally able to watch his latest, Flora and Son, since subscribing to AppleTV. While it is probably my least favorite of his, and the least musical, it was a good story, and it had Joseph Gordon Levitt, which elevates any project IMO

JGL also covers a Tom Waits song in the movie, so, bonus points 😜

Pickpick

A bright queer Victorian romance featuring bicycles, botany, redemption all over the place, and hilarious side characters. I loved this book! It is always fun finding a book that I can see my own relationship reflected in. I‘m also a sucker for enemies to lovers and redemption of antagonist characters. This book also has some really well done love scenes. #LGBTQIA #VictorianRomance #Botany #Bikes

This book may change your understanding of what plants are. They can communicate with each other. They can change their chemical makeup to dissuade predators. Some change their appearance to blend in with their neighbors better.

I learned many things, definitely recommend if science and plants and nature are interesting to you.

Librariana I have a coworker who I'll definitely mention this one to! Thanks, @Soubhiville 8mo

The Drunken Botanist | Amy Stewart

My plan for tonight's #Hyggehour is to browse Amy Stewart's amazing "spirited toast to the marriage of botany and booze." While doing so, I shall be sipping a festive, sloe gin hot toddy. ??❄️?

What are your plans?
