julesG @Susanita I think it spiraled into "raging" on paper about what's going on in life plus(!) each of them wanted to outsmart the other with insults and wanted to have the last word. So they kept on writing. The letters, though a bit disturbing out of context, didn't worry me, it was the wilfully withheld information that made me mad. 2h

If you asked me why I, who doesn‘t even like contemporary romance or sports; read a sports romance, I would have to tell you it‘s because the author got bullied off social media for having an apparently unpopular opinion about the Hunger Games. An inane decision but it worked out. this book was really good actually. Maybe a little too long? Did I need to know THAT much about diving? I was unsurprised by the source of conflict. But it was worth it

5feet.of.fury @mcctrish yeah she made some post about being Team Gale and people were real upset, which is nuts for so many reasons 😂 I only ever read Bride by her, the other ones didn‘t sound appealing to me, but I love a paranormal romance …but I didn‘t like Bride so go figure haha 5d

I think a pick? I had some issues but overall really enjoyed this romance. The main couple is very sweet together and there are plenty of warm moments, funny moments, sizzling hot moments. Ali Hazelwood can certainly write good smut. I did find Lukas‘ accent a little distracting and the Scarlett‘s constant self deprecation was sort of exhausting. Also not sure I have a good enough poker face for romance on audio😂 Quality escapism, for sure.

The last thing she wants is Jaxon telling her how to run her bar. She‘s heard the rumours about Jaxon but which ones are lies and who is telling the truth.
A quick easy read with some great secondary characters, oh and plenty of cowboys 🤠

Loved this one, read nearly the whole thing while traveling and it was the right read at the right time. A therapist and the editor of her column have a true connection that neither of them are ready to explore. Until they do and I was happy to be along for the ride.
