I had to stop after 3 chapters. It‘s a modern version of Hades & Persephone, but she‘s just too dumb for me. She‘s made so many poor, unjustified decisions and I‘m only on chapter 3! Life‘s too short, bruh. #dnf

So many books I loved recently, I thought it‘s time for another DNF and I seriously hated this one… extremely shallow and full of innuendo, I am so glad I never stumbled over YA books like this when I was a teenager myself…

2 DNFs from last year. I was sad to give up the 1. but I just couldn‘t get into the story. The 2. annoyed me a lot…
Before my KU trial I only ever DNFed 1 book in my whole life🙈😅 But I read a lot through 3KU months & there were quite a few books that weren‘t a good fit. Finishing a book that upsets/bores me is a waste of time. Reading so many books with a time limit helped me not feeling guilty for it.

I‘m pretty happy with my March reading. I finished 20 books& accomplished most of what I hoped to do. I finished all 3 #Roll100 books, my buddy reads for #ChloeGongReadAlong #JaneAdjacent #NancyDrewBR #ChildrensClassicRead2024 #SheSaid #Naturalitsy #SeasonalCozies #TravelingStars & my virtual foodie book club & worked in an AuldLangSpine title (trying to do one per month). Finished out 2 series & started a new one #SeriesLove2024 & took part in ⬇️

Not being very successful with #ReadYourKindle books this month. I might have liked this one --- Cozy Mystery, Witches.... I mean what's not to like!? But I couldn't get into it. I felt like it didn't get to the point fast enough. So, another #DNF for me.

Sad to say I really didn‘t like this book and DNFed at 72%. Expected a clean and sweet book, like the 5 YA I‘ve read by the author. This was neither sweet nor clean but extremely shallow and full of foul language. :/

So, I tried, but I did not want to pick this one up when I had time to read. I felt like there might have been a “good“ story in there, but all the jargon and just info dump took me out of the story that was trying to develop. So.... #DNF
