#MOvember #catchup
How do you #ExpressYourself ? I consider cooking my favorite form of expression. When I‘ve had a long, tiring week, a little #audiosouping time with a fun & funny book, then taking pictures of it looking pretty, eating the result of my labors & posting it on my blog are my relaxation & creative expression. This is the beginnings of Spinach, Coconut & Chickpea Fish Stew from a cookbook I‘m reviewing. Finished pics coming later.

Sace Looks delicious! 4y
Tamra I‘ll second that. 👍🏾 4y
Cinfhen Fantastic, Deb!! Truly an art form ♥️ 4y

The two characters make their journey through emotions, fears, past and future.
Love this series especially this book.

Cinfhen 🎶You don't need diamond rings or eighteen karat gold
Fancy cars that go very fast, you know they never last no, no
What you need is a big strong hand
To lift you to your higher ground
Make you feel like a queen on a throne
Make him love you 'til you can't come down🎶

writerlibrarian @Cinfhen How much do I love this month music 🎶 challenge.. this much 😍😍 4y

David and Sydney Mitford raised their 6 daughters and one son with an emphasis on being unique and always appreciated their differences. And were they ever different! This account of their lives includes scandal, political intrigue, and a whole lot of sibling rivalry.

Leftcoastzen I want to read this! Love Decca. 4y
Cinfhen #FridayFlowers 😍I know lots of Littens love reading about the Mitford‘s, I haven‘t read anything yet😔 4y
Simona @cinfhen Definitely worthy to try❣️It‘s hard to believe how extraordinary their lives were. 4y

Money | Martin Amis
post image

#expressyourself #MOvember
Apparently John Self expresses himself by making a movie about money, while "living money, talking money, and spending money on all the excesses 20th-century culture has to offer: drink, dope, sex, fast food, and love."
On my TBR shelf but from that description...sounds like a terrible novel! On the other hand, Amis hasn't let me down yet, and this is probably his most famous, so I can't not read it ?‍♂️
@Cinfhen

Leftcoastzen I haven‘t read that one either. He‘s excellent though. 4y
BarbaraBB I had a hard time finishing this one. 4y
batsy Read it for a uni class maaaany years ago and thoroughly enjoyed reading about a character I absolutely loathed, so I'm not sure what that says about me 😅 4y

Cinfhen Some books just aren‘t for me....this is probably one of them 😬 4y
Billypar @Leftcoastzen Yeah, he's a favorite of mine- it's been awhile since I read one of his though. 4y
Billypar @BarbaraBB @batsy @Cinfhen I was more attracted to this kind of narrative in college- @batsy like you mentioned, I hated the characters like Self, but I think I hoped they'd have a quiet epiphany by the end or something like that. 4y
Liz_M I loved this book! As an added incentive some of it takes place in the seedy NYC of yesteryear. 😁 4y
Billypar @Liz_M Good to hear! Seedy NYC is so interesting to see in old books and films - hard to believe the change in just a few decades. 4y

DAY 8 #ExpressYourself | For this prompt, I had to go with some of the best memoirs I‘ve read this year. I love reading about other people‘s experiences. These folks put themselves out there, and for that, I‘m grateful.

#MOvember
@Cinfhen

ljuliel Did you have a favorite out of these ? 4y

britt_brooke @ljuliel Hmmm, that‘s tough. A few were 5 stars, but for totally different reasons: Gross Anatomy, Becoming, Life Will be the Death of Me, All Over but the Shoutin‘. 4y
britt_brooke @DrexEdit It‘s really interesting and different. And great on audio, if you like to listen. (edited) 4y
britt_brooke @lele1432 It‘s so funny, but also just a really fantastic read! 4y

And did Lizzie make Darcy work hard for her love!

#expressyourself - this book make me mad, sad, frustrated, angry, disappointed (in society) and annoyed and a million similar feelings. But I feel I owe it to Chanel to plough on.
