This is certainly a #fairytaleofnewyork. At least at first. Ok, maybe there‘s some fraud involved. But John Gluck still had a hand in making Christmas more merry for the needy children of NYC.

This felt a bit like a #fairytaleofNewYork - Oscar‘s quest to find out the secret behind his father‘s key had all the fairy tale elements, and with a sweet character like Oscar, I couldn‘t help but love this book ❤️

Lcsmcat @Cinfhen @TrishB @erzascarletbookgasm You should read it! Hamill is a New York historian who obviously loves his city. So he gets the history right. And the exploration of the blessing / curse of living forever is well done. How do you get close to someone when you know that they will die before you, that they will age and you won‘t, when there is literally no one who can share your memories? How do you process the changes from 1790 to 2001? ❤️it! 6y

Cinfhen Sounds like a good bookclub choice!!! I read this last year but hated it

CarolynM OMG!! We used to watch this show every week. It was kind of hypnotic - all those long pauses in the dialogue while Vincent and Catherine gazed at one another. I haven't thought about it in years. Thanks for the memories😀. @batsy 6y
