What I loved, the momentarily poems are there, no hard and fast literature rules, just writing for the fun of it

This was such a simple and sweet story!
I loved the premise of the story. I enjoyed learning more about Indian culture, especially their wedding customs. I also liked that the book explored being “white-washed” and how it can make people feel disconnected towards their culture.

Done with the last book of 2019! I was very excited to read about #Mughal rule India. I enjoyed the story line but not the political drama involved. The main character Mehrunissa is very strong and author is successful in portraying her feelings and struggle. But the description of the plots were not satisfactory, either too much or too little details. Overall it‘s a good book for #historicalfiction lovers. 3⭐️ #lastread #Indian #triology
For such a short little story, it packs a punch. We are given a glimpse into a powerful family dynamic as an Indian mother in Delhi desparately tries to arrange a marriage for her daughter living in LA. Told completely in telephone conversations, the story starts off comically before turning darker toward the end. It was a lot of fun listening to this. #audibleoriginal #karma #arrangedmarriage #Indian
Stardust...my current read by Neil Gaiman. Not sure how to feel about this book yet but I wholeheartedly agree with this quote❤ #stardust #neilgaiman #indian #bookworm
The second half of my #Indian authors #authorlist! Any names you recognize? 😁 #LitsyLovesLibraries #MrBooksLists
About half way through. I‘m trying to #diversify my reading, both in ethnicity/origin of story and genre.
When this came across my spectrum I originally said “eh... it‘s a romance I‘ll skip”. However, the library had it out on display and decided to give it a try.
It‘s okay so far. I don‘t care about the romance, but her world is interesting. #indian #romance
