That ending....
I really love where this series is going.
The double POV was a delightful change. Adrian's voice is definitely what was missing in the previous books.

Can't wait to start the next book.

I don't know exactly what I was expecting when I started this book, but it definitely wasn't this.
I've read this series in publication order, so I knew Hannibal. But knowing the why behind Hannibal gives this whole series a different feel.
I'll have to go back and read it chronologically.

This is the conclusion to the Han Solo Trilogy. Honestly it was a little lackluster and predictable in parts. It begins with Han winning the Millennium Falcon from Lando in a sabacc game and ends at the beginning of Star Wars A New Hope 🚀

4½✨

This felt like catching up with old friends.
I love the dynamic Slaughter created between four of my favourite characters (Will, Sara, Faith and of course Amanda)
Even with this very dark, disturbing and sad topic I couldn't put down the book! Slaughter knows how to capture her audience.

Can hardly wait to meet my friends again in the new one.
And I know it might be a long wait.

If you ever wondered what happens to the children that don't find Eleanor West's Home for Wayward Children. Then you should definitely read this one.
As always brilliant writing from McGuire - lyrical, magical and entrancing.

I'm loving how every character makes a reappearance somewhere in this series.

This was wonderful! Beautifully written memoir about grief, love, and family. I wasn‘t familiar with the author, an actress, but when I realized her sister was Attica Locke, I thought, no wonder. What a talented family. I loved the sense of place in this book, how she honors her husband‘s memory by visiting Sicily, his birthplace, and connecting with his family. #BookspinBingo #20in4 @TheAromaofBooks @Andrew65 #Pantone2023 #mochamousse @Clwojick

This blew me away, but I wouldn‘t say that‘s a positive thing. Parallels to current society, what it means to be a “good mother,” the glaring differences between how the mothers and fathers were treated - all very unsettling, and a reminder that women are so often still considered “less than.” Sometimes downright scary to read, but I‘d still recommend it!

Mercy and her crew struggle to control the uncontrollable—a river monster! I‘m #latetotheparty with this series. Plus, I constantly put it down for extended periods. But that‘s only because I‘d like to stretch out my enjoyment.

My only concern is whether the author has a personal connection to the indigenous peoples and mythologies in her books. Or does she practice cultural appropriation?

I‘ve been wanting a Painted Edition for a while now so it was especially fun to read from this! Poirot is such a great character! I always picture him with deep crinkles around his eyes, constantly laughing to himself about how blind all his companions are. #MarvellousMarch #BirthdayPixieReadathon #Pantone2023 #MochaMousse @Andrew65 @tpixie @Clwojick
