I cannot tell you how much I loved Duran Duran in the 80s! I still do, and I learned things both about the band as a whole and the individual members that I didn‘t already know. It‘s a well done documentation of their ups and downs. If you‘re a fan, I‘d recommend it! Of course, it made me want to cue up their Spotify playlist! 😃🎶

The story follows the exploits of Clay, an East Coast college student home in L.A. for Christmas break. He‘s looking for his drug-addled childhood pal who has fallen into a bad way.

Lola I read Less Than Zero when it came out and then re-read it recently. Total 80s girl here :) Hated the sequel. Maybe because it wasn‘t set in the 80s ;)

Lola @Leftcoastzen Yes to Bright Lights! I think I‘ll do a re-read of this one in 2019. I checked my GR and Zero got only 3 stars (ie liked, didn‘t love) from me in 2015. I think I liked Lights more, too on my original read. 5y

I had no idea #50wordsforsnow was a Kate Bush song! I lost track of her in the late 90s but as one can tell from my pictured record collection (vinyl-I‘m old) I used to listen to her ALOT. What does this have to do with books? She wrote a song about Wuthering Heights, Peter Pan and The last chapter of Ulysses...she‘s a reading person‘s recording artist!
