Enjoyed this one even more than I expected.
Martin shared some great personal memories, from growing up in council housing to eventually playing in front of six-figure crowds in Italy with Spandau Ballet and moving on to acting.
Loved reading his personal life lessons along with details about ‘80s culture.

93/150 Not my favorite Disch book, but still enjoyable. In the future, matter transmitters allow instantaneous travel, but for everything transmitted there is an echo, so multiple versions of people and things exists on different levels of reality. It got confusing at times dealing with the multiple versions of the main characters. Not as darkly humorous or cynical as some of Disch's novels, but still weirdly entertaining. 3 ⭐⭐⭐💫

I absolutely LOvE this book.In India,we first got cable TV in the 90s,and MTV here basically dumped all their 80s videos on us-so people my age(born in the late 80s)have a lot of nostalgia for 80s music-those were the first music videos we were seeing!This book captures that so well

Another great Rob Sheffield book about music! I love music, especially 80s music, so this was a lot of fun to read. And I love his writing style!
