panI tried to make myself tolerate it. She made the murderer an unlikeable and ugly person. Take my word for it, this is not one of her best. Did she mean to imply that ugly people are deformed spiritually or morally?
The best thing about it is I have completed my #PopSugar2021 challenge with it.

And then I realized that Samarkand was mentioned. Tamerlane was a Khan in #Uzbekistan so it could be used for #ReadingAsia2021 @BarbaraBB @Librarybelle
pickA short story that captured the culture of an island in the Arabian Sea very well. I think it could be easily crafted into a novel with the death defying exploits of pearl divers fully explored.

pickA sweet fat positive (#readerharder2021) romance where an apparently vapid but pretty actor on a GoT-ish fantasy tv show somehow gets involved with the fanfic scene and then starts to date one of his fellow fanfic writers. She doesn‘t know she knew him as a fanfic writer... and thus shenanigans. I enjoyed the way this book dealt with fanfic, and the GoT snark, but found the plot and the general misery of the characters to be overly manufactured.
Did I stay in the office an extra hour just to make stickers for my reading journal? You bet your book stacks I did! I couldn't decide on a layout that was pretty, yet simple. This will allow me to put them into the journal in the order I fulfilled the prompt and I don't have to draw 50 boxes by hand.

so-soEbook. Slow beginning on this YA scifi. It has some of the typical tropes of YA, but there's LGBTQ rep and I was curious as to where it was going. It leaves on a cliffhanger, which I always find rather rude. I've already got the next one in the duology queued up.
I think my favorite character was Julian, because, I mean, every conspiracy has a nugget of truth 🤷♀️
pickThis quaint time-travel (-ish) novella may bring a tear to your eye! The sections 'Husband and Wife' and 'Mother and Child' were my favorites. I don't know if I would sit in that chair :/
