so-soI did not realise this was a series- can totally go in blind though and easily “catch up“. I was intrigued by the cover at the Lib & this is a case where maybe I could've been more discerning. I didn't really feel like the characters made life like choices, particularly Rarity. I also felt the attention to her dog was odd, out of place. Plus the narration annoyed me haha

I surprised myself with a stop at the thrift store today and found a few well-loved copies of old Hitchcock story collections, plus a Grady Hendrix, a copy of Wolf Hall, and a novel by Argueta which will fit nicely for El Salvador in the #readingtheamericas challenge.
I‘m pretty pleased with myself- now to find space for them on the crammed shelves.

pick⭐️⭐️⭐️ I expected this to be pure brain candy, and it often is, but damn, it‘s juicier than a 2000s Playmate in a velour track suit! True to “reality” tv, things are not always how they appear. The girlfriend politics were particularly fascinating. What a bizarre life choice! Holly does not sugarcoat, but of course, this is all through her eyes. Take it as you will. An entertaining memoir for those who vegged on Girls Next Door like I did.
