Pickpick

I expected this to be a lighthearted romance, but it was so much more. Yes, there is a sweet (and sometimes very frustrating) romance. But the novel also deals with some very serious and emotional issues. I did think the ending was a bit unrealistic, even though the author‘s note says it was based on real events. Anyone struggling with infertility might want to give this one a pass.

This was my September #ReadOrDonate selection.

September‘s #ReadOrDonate pick.

julieclair This feels timely… and spine-chilling… with football season starting! 4d
Read4life @julieclair Reading it with my daughter. Although, with her in volleyball season and having a heavy biomed course load, it will take her a bit longer. She does course work on the bus when traveling to get ahead in her classes but when she isn‘t doing that, she reads instead of watching movies on her laptop. Either way, I look forward to our discussions whenever they happen. 😊 1d

I thoroughly enjoyed this well-written, literary cozy, with a finely woven mystery and a truly admirable heroine. The second in the atmospheric Bess Crawford mystery series, set in England and France during WWI. Excellent reading.

This was my #ReadOrDonate selection for August. I‘m so glad I finally got around to reading it!

I liked this one! Kept me guessing for sure. Alex, an influencer, has her life upended when a post of her slut-shaming a 16 y/o starlet goes viral after a night of drinking with her personal assistant. AC, the personal assistant, then disappears. Did she blow up Alex‘s life? A cautionary tale of living your life completely online!

This is my choice for August for #readordonate! I‘ve liked other books by this author so extra incentive to read this one is good!
