So, I ended up back in the hospital for the remainder of January, but now I‘m home again and have been for a week; I think I‘ve finally gotten past the “acute phase,” as the doc called it. Now, I‘m diving headlong into my TBR stacks and making up for the lost month. I am LOVING this twisty, dark thriller, though it‘s also SO unsettling. #sleeptight #jhmarkert #thriller #horror

LoverOfLearning Feel better! Sorry you are going though that. I'm on my 2nd round of antibiotics this month, different experience but I'm so beyond exhausted and I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. :( Glad you enjoyed this read!!! 2w

IndoorDame I‘m going to be catching up on my buddy reads that I‘ve fallen behind on this weekend, and hopefully sneaking in some housekeeping. I keep starting tv shows that seem promising then getting bored after a few episodes. My newest is Aquarius, which reminds me of a retro cop show version of Emma Cline‘s The Girls. Fun so far except I can‘t get that Bree Sharp song out of my head 🤣 (apologies if it‘s an 👂🪱for anyone else!) 6mo

Cupcake12 I had work this morning 3am til 9am. Took the dogs out for a walk then relaxing this afternoon with my new book. Ready for an early night 🛏️ 6mo

Silent Child | Sarah a Denzil

so-so

Emma thought her 6-years-old son drowned in a flood, but 10 years later he staggers out of the nearby woods, clearly traumatized, not willing to speak a word.
This book reminded me a bit of #SleepTight by #RachelAbbott. That was also a meh for me. The basic idea of this book was good, but it wasn't really gripping or exciting.
