Librarybelle Good morning! I‘m spending the day with a friend, which will be fun. Zeke has been off his steroid treatment in preparation for his appointment next week, and he started to show signs of discomfort on Thursday night. The rest of my weekend will be me monitoring him and giving him what medications I can to alleviate his symptoms enough to get him to eat again. Poor guy. Other than a couple incidences the past couple of weeks, he was doing well. 1mo

Sace I confess I started my week in an irritable mood despite having Monday off. The skies were gray and I had been people-ing too much. I‘m feeling better now. My only plans today are grocery shopping, haircut, lunch and reading. 7mo

Read4life We‘re still in the USVI taking care of my father in law. There was no change with him this week. We were able to get to the beach 4 days this week. This weekend we‘re going to spend time with my mother in law and her husband. In spite of the stressful reason we‘re here, we are getting some wonderful time with family. 7mo

There‘s been a lot on my mind, and Heather Cox Richardson‘s post this morning puts it into words so eloquently. She‘s an amazing political historian who bases everything she says on facts and history. But, this weekend is usual routines, with Sunday being a family get together. These checkins are so nice. You don't have to pay for it if you don't want to. She is also doing an audio version if you're interested in that. It comes out later in the day. Did you see the post she wrote the day after the election? And her posts generally take less than 10 minutes to read. 7mo

I also heard her speak a few weeks ago at a virtual event, and I was struck by how articulate and knowledgeable she is. I have her books and really need to read them. IndoorDame I‘m going to be catching up on my buddy reads that I‘ve fallen behind on this weekend, and hopefully sneaking in some housekeeping. I keep starting tv shows that seem promising then getting bored after a few episodes. My newest is Aquarius, which reminds me of a retro cop show version of Emma Cline‘s The Girls. Fun so far except I can‘t get that Bree Sharp song out of my head 🤣 (apologies if it‘s an 👂🪱for anyone else!) 9mo

Cupcake12 I had work this morning 3am til 9am. Took the dogs out for a walk then relaxing this afternoon with my new book. Ready for an early night 🛏️ 9mo

My family could use some prayers or good intentions. My dad‘s father died Friday (I‘m ok we weren‘t close) and funeral is sat. My mom was taken to the hospital Monday and has a blood infection in addition to some other things requiring emergency surgery. The dogs have kennel cough. It‘s been a week.
