pickI've been meaning to watch the show that I assume is based on these for a while but haven't gotten round to it. I went in pretty much blind and found it surprisingly good. A bit more YA than I expected, but fun nonetheless. This one started out on Halloween, so bonus for that. 👻

so-soThere are 21 shorts in this collection. I listened to 20 (skipped The Mist because I've read that one already). There were a handful, The Jaunt (one of the shortest and best imo), Uncle Otto's Truck, and The Ballad of the Flexible Bullet, that were quite good. The rest...not so much. As a whole, I'd give the collection 3 stars. This was my #doublespin book.

so-soMeh. I liked the idea of a fast acting rabies virus causing a zombie-like dystopia. But the story itself never went anywhere. By the end I didn't care if the characters got eaten or not.

Very much enjoying this 4th book in Maniscalco‘s “Capturing Jack The Ripper” series. After their disastrous term at Romania‘s best forensic school, then the chaos onboard the RMS Etruria with the Moonlight Carnival that culminates with Audrey Rose being injured, herself & her beau Thomas Cresswell, are now in NYC preparing for their engagement. But there‘s a serial killer on the loose, and his methods seem very familiar.🤔🔪 #SomethingWickedFall
pickThis was a slow burner horror but boy, when it got going it was full of a menacing dread that won‘t let go. I‘ve always thought I‘d make a good hermit, as long as I had all my books & music but being a hermit in the arctic is another animal entirely.
