I‘m cheating a little on this answer. This isn‘t the last book I bought. However, it‘s the next book I‘m buying. I ordered it several days ago from the bookstore, and I expect they will have it in pretty soon.

I started reading it on Libby a while ago, but I realized it has a lot of “exercises” that were awkward to do in that format. I finally got around to ordering my own physical copy! It‘s probably even more relevant these days.

Got Matt hooked on these books, and he's four ahead of me! 🤩 Quickest way to get this one was to buy it, and he's happily hygge-ing it all day with this one.

I have the hard cover of this book. However, I wanted the audio version too so I bought it on Thursday.

I attended an author event, this past week, with Rebecca Thorne for the third book in her Tomes and Tea series, and a book was part of the ticket price. So technically that.

But before that, after *makes sweeping gesture at November* I bought the tagged book, along with Prequel by Rachel Maddow and Democracy Awakening by Heather Cox Richardson.

#SundayFunday Have a wonderful day, and don‘t forget to tag me in your posts!

konlitsy The last book I bought was Dance Dance Dance by Haruki Murakami, but it's still chilling on my TBR pile for now.

Terrible writing but a good story. I can overlook grammatical errors but bad stories make my heart hurt 💔

BookmarkTavern Everyone makes errors sometimes, so it‘s easier to move past those! Thanks for sharing! 6d

I would rather read a book with terrible writing but a good story. The content is more important to me than perfect spelling or grammar. As long as I can follow the story, I‘m good!

Really bad writing can sometimes be amusing in a Mystery Science Theater 3000 way, but a bad story really annoys me.

I‘ll bail in a heartbeat if the story is so bad that I don‘t even care what happens.

That is a tough one but I think I would rather read a bad story with good writing… I can get past the bad plot if the writing is good!

I have read both types. Several times. And I have powered through to the end on both types. Several times.

And I find myself wishing I had bailed on the terrible stories more often. 😅 So, I‘d rather read a good story, but terrible writing.

#SundayFunday I hope you all have a nice, relaxing Sunday, and don‘t forget to tag me in your posts!

thegirlwiththelibrarybag Agreed. If you are enjoying the premise or care for the characters - bad writing can be (somewhat) overlooked. 1w
konlitsy I've read many stories with similar plots, but what truly sets them apart is the writing style. For me, how a story is written matters more than the story itself. The author's unique style, tone, and language bring the narrative to life and make it engaging. This is why I value the writing process more than the plot itself. 7d
