so-soHere we go again...Batman and his allies against a force that's convinced violence is the answer. More death, more manipulation. Though this combatant as the lead of a new antagonistic team seems nostalgically traditional compared to Injustice Superman. We'll see how things unfold!
All thanks go to Panda Redd (and my library's hoopla subscription) for coming in clutch with a superbly timed video to let my cluelessness know that Injustice: Gods Among Us isn't just a prequel to a video game, it's just the FIRST set of graphic novels in this series. Makes so much more sense. Not even Storygraph's series linkages saved me from ignorance this time. 🤦🏼♂️
pickDan Mora's art!! 😍 Mark Waid's writing! 🥰 There's something so classic and earnest about the way this is written and drawn, feels vintage but not corny. No doubt it's my shipping goggles, and the 'fan request art' by Dan Mora (IYKYK 😘), but I feel like the one body, one mind combo moment with Green Lantern power and Batman's reaction to a certain plot point is just more fuel on the ❤️BatmanxSuperman❤️ fire. 😉 Here for it. 😛

Last favourites list for 2023: graphic novel series. Given my longstanding Batman favouritism, I did not expect to fall in love with Superman stories this past year, but I totally did! This is primarily thanks to Panda Redd (IYKYK).
pickWell that was DARK. It was also an incredibly compelling read. Naturally, seeing how Superman and Wonder Woman are characterized is unsettling, and the heartbreaking losses just confirm this as a nightmarish 'what if', but what surprised me was the hope, the funny parts, and how much time Harley Quinn got on the page. Those surprises are why I still want to continue in the series. Art preference per issue varied, will see what comes next. 🤷🏼♂️
