#currentlyreading the first in the #GreerHogan #cozymystery series, featuring small-town librarian Greer investigating a murder in her gothic mansion public library.

UPDATE: I enjoyed it, especially all the mentions of detective fiction and fictional detectives, including #TrixieBelden!

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and a big part of this story. It‘s likely why this book is one of my favorites of the Trixie Belden series. 🦃 🤎

Trixie‘s mom has a strawberry pincushion. My mom has a tomato. Not nearly as fun. 🍓😐

Oh how I wanted to go on a road trip in an Airstream like Trixie and Honey! In reality, I hate camping of any kind. Give me a hotel and shower, please. 🙂🚿💙

I‘m doing a slow re-read of my Trixie Belden collection as a distraction while I‘ve had CNN on 24-7 since Tuesday afternoon. I‘m wondering if this book was the source of my mild snake phobia. 😮🐍

CindiB I think it‘s the snake itself. I have a huge phobia and am not American, so feel confident saying this. 2y
Sparklemn @CindiB A garter snake slithered across my bare foot once. Totally harmless...but I cried. 😳 😜 2y
CindiB @Sparklemn I scream when I see a photo of them. Literally scream. Loud. 2y

This was one of my favorite Trixie books. One of the books in my TBR pile is Max Brooks' Devolution. Another sasquatch story....a very, very different sasquatch story. 😜

BookwormM Devolution is amazing 2y
Sparklemn @BookwormM Can‘t wait to read it! 2y
JoyBlue I used to read Trixie Belden books when I was young (quite a while ago)! Thanks for the happy reminder. 🌞 2y

runswithscissors007 I loved trixie Belden! So many memories! 3y
ShelleyBooksie Such a great series 3y
Skyrimir I LOVED this series growing up! 3y
Juliwyant This was my FAV series when I was 12....I earned books by babysitting my nephew (who was spoiled & incredi-naughty) It was worth putting up with his tantrums to earn a trip to Walden Books for a new Trixie book! :)) So, this year I pledged more mindful, therapeutic reading I enjoy....so rereading childhood favs like Trixie & Nancy Drew! Makes me happy in my bookish soul!!! 3y
TheHeartlandBookFairy I love this 💕 This was my favorite series! I still have my original set, 18ish or so. I've been collecting the numbers beyond what I originally had and I think I'm only missing two or three now. 3y
akaGingerK Trixie! The preferred girl detective of my childhood, even though I only ever had a few (all of which had been passed down by a woman who worked with my dad) 3y
batsy Love Trixie 💜 I feel like reading one now! I don't have many of my older copies, sadly. Wish I'd been more careful with who I loaned them out to when younger! 3y
cmastfalk I loved Trixie Belden too! And so does my daughter. 3y

Littens are the best! @BethM & I exchanged emails about 18 months ago about the Trixie Belden books I was missing from my collection & a couple of weeks ago she sent me an email saying she found a copy of #36 and asking if I would I like it. It was such a treat to come home tonight & find it in my mailbox! Thank you so much Beth! 🤗😘I‘ll have fun revisiting my childhood favorite detective this weekend.

margreads Loved this whole series. Jim was my first book boyfriend 3y
Literary_Siren I haven‘t read any of them but I have my grandmas copies. It‘s not a whole set just a couple of books. 3y
BethM Yay! I‘m glad it got there! @margreads Jim was one of my early book bfs too! 3y
DebinHawaii @margreads @BethM Me too! Although I liked Brian as well! 😉 3y
DebinHawaii @Literary_Siren They are fun. Definitely very dated now but still fun to visit/revisit. 🤗 3y
