I thought the setting was fun, although we've already begun the trend of leaving poor Dan behind! Why did the authors even make him a member of the gang?? I really liked the way Trixie didn't have all the answers here, and had to stop and reassess a few times. However, the ⬇

pickTrixie & the BobWhites are at it again when sheep thieves are targeting the Belden‘s Uncle Andrew‘s farm!
We get to see the gang investigate another high stakes mystery, meet some new kids, some development on young love, & a dramatic rescue! More importantly, we get to see Trixie fail in her investigations, & then pick herself back up, apologize for her assumptions, & try, try again. It‘s always great to see failure treated as natural.🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

Finished the other day for #BobWhiteBuddies this is Book 9 & a fun one with some serious danger for some of the group as they spend spring break (except poor Dan) in Iowa at the Belden‘s uncle‘s sheep ranch. Trixie is on the case of some missing sheep & making a few mistakes along the way. There‘s ice skating & rabbit chasing & new friends who show up in a later book. This is one of my favorites mainly ⬇️

pickI really enjoyed November's Trixie mystery. I know I've said it before, but I love how Trixie isn't perfect. In this story, she's biased against Dan from the start just because of how he looks/what he wears, and that comes back to bite her. Were some things in this book a little too tidy/easy? Absolutely, but that's okay because it's fiction 😂
Did you all get to this one? Any thoughts?
One other thing, I wondered how crazy the mountain lion ⬇
pickYay! We're back in Sleepyside, getting lost in the woods repeatedly! But now there's a mountain lion! I love this cover so much, and loved the idea of Trixie judging someone for wearing a black leather jacket. 😂 My biggest critique was that, in my edition, Di Lynch didn't show up until page 80 and she wasn't part of any of the action of the story. Not sure how another BWG is going to fit, if we barely had room for Di! #bobwhitebuddies

Finished Sunday for #BobWhiteBuddies Trixie # 8 revolves around Trixie coming up with an idea to have an ice carnival to help raise money to rebuild her Mexican penpals‘ school library (a concept any reader can get behind). It also introduces a new character & addition to the club, Dan, who has a rocky start with the group & especially Trixie. Small spoiler… I always felt sorry for Dan because he rarely got to go ⬇️

Trixie & I are hanging out for #HyggeHour tonight, along with Sleepytime tea & some peanut butter & jelly M&Ms. (I feel like these are better in theory than in taste but they aren‘t bad, because… chocolate) 😉
Looking forward to a shorter week with the holiday although it will still be a busy one & I need to work Friday morning. 🤷🏻♀️
