Finished Book #11 for #BobWhiteBR on Sunday. Trixie & the Bob-Whites (sans Dan of course & Di this time) are off to Uncle Andrew Belden‘s lodge in the Ozarks. Trixie is obsessed with finding rare cave ghost fish to win $500 to buy a station wagon for “crippled children.” As a child, I remember being fascinated with the ghost fish & admiring Trixie‘s bravery in spelunking in the caves. (My claustrophobia could never!)😱

I finished these at the beginning of March. Ozma of Oz starts off pretty unhinged, but end up being a more coherent story that Marvelous Land of Oz. This Trixie book was one of my favorites so far. I like that these feel like mysteries a kid could actually solve. This one also included a long-past tragedy and tumbled down mansion, so it was checking all the boxes for this Kate Morton reader. #bobwhitebuddies #BeyondtheYellowBrickRoad

My #HyggeHour tonight will be spent with my purple Trixie Belden book for #BobWhiteBuddies & a matching bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs (Yay 🎉for the Easter candy season!)

My mood is tired. 😵‍💫 I‘m so not ready for a full & busy work week! 😬

Honey‘s family is hosting a child violin prodigy while the BobWhites are trying to recreate a collection of pressed flowers for a teacher. Only, there is something out in the local marsh.

This was a mostly Trixie & Honey story. Di is barely there, the boys are in the background, & poor Dan only gets mentioned once. But we also see Trixie learning to not judge people by 1st impressions. & we meet an antagonistic journalist. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

Finished book 10 last Sunday for #BobWhiteBuddies & I‘m pretty sure this was the first Trixie Belden book I ever read. My sister had this copy & I ended up “borrowing” it & then asking for the rest of the series since she wasn‘t much of a reader. I remembered quite a bit of it as I was reading it, Gaye & her puppy & the gathering of the plants for their teacher. This one was pretty mild mystery-wise & as usual, Dan ⬇️

Spending my #HyggeHour on the couch with Trixie & the Bob-Whites for #BobWhiteBuddies & maybe catching up a bit with my tree-a-day reading (I‘m a little behind). There is tea & chocolate involved. 🫖 🍫

Mood is a little tired & not ready for Monday & my sure to be busy workweek, but I‘m getting close to some PTO time in the first week of March, so there‘s that.😵

#BobWhiteBuddies !!! I finished this a couple weeks ago but then spaced on actually posting at the end of the month 😂 Did you all get to this one in January? Did you like it? I thought the setting was fun, although we've already begun the trend of leaving poor Dan behind! Why did the authors even make him a member of the gang?? I really liked the way Trixie didn't have all the answers here, and had to stop and reassess a few times. However, the ⬇

What an ending! I kept wondering why the kids were in a boat on the cover. Then, once they were in the boat, I practically held my breath for the rest of the book! #bobwhitebuddies

Trixie & the BobWhites are at it again when sheep thieves are targeting the Belden‘s Uncle Andrew‘s farm!

We get to see the gang investigate another high stakes mystery, meet some new kids, some development on young love, & a dramatic rescue! More importantly, we get to see Trixie fail in her investigations, & then pick herself back up, apologize for her assumptions, & try, try again. It‘s always great to see failure treated as natural.🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

Finished the other day for #BobWhiteBuddies this is Book 9 & a fun one with some serious danger for some of the group as they spend spring break (except poor Dan) in Iowa at the Belden‘s uncle‘s sheep ranch. Trixie is on the case of some missing sheep & making a few mistakes along the way. There‘s ice skating & rabbit chasing & new friends who show up in a later book. This is one of my favorites mainly ⬇️
