Elin Hilderbrand‘s books really go down easy. I have not read all her books in order but every time, I start out thinking all these people are awful, but she finds a way to make you care about them. (I really wanted to shake the daughter character throughout, though.) I enjoyed this as a fun start to my #AuldLangSpine reading for January.
Starting my first #AuldLangSpine pick from @Jerdencon Seemed like the best way to spend my last vacation day. Happy New Year Litsy friends.
12-26-24: My 50th finished book of 2024! When Deacon Thorpe is found dead at his Nantucket summer home, his best friend and manager becomes executor of Deacon‘s will and puts him in charge of gathering all 3 of Deacon‘s wives & 3 kids, out the the Nantucket home to discuss what‘s next and spread his ashes.1st wife Laurel and their son Hayes. Second wife Belinda and their adopted daughter Angie. And current wife Scarlett and their daughter Ellery.
3.0⭐️ Was a bit disappointed with this book. Even I quite enjoyed The Summer Bookclub, I felt that this was not as enjoyable as that one; it could have been the fact that I read these two books too close together. #2024 #fiction #contemporary #romance
Watched the Netflix series first then I heard that the author allowed them to change a few things. Usually never watch then read but I did like the ending better on the series. Also loved the beach line dance at the beginning credits after episode one…watched it every time!
