Tonight was graduation and it has brought a lot of feels for me… this group of kids were entering kindergarten as I was starting my career at the elementary school and as they grew, so did I… I literally went with them their enter schooling… I was so proud to watch every single one of them walk that stage tonight… congratulations class of 2025!!

Yesterday, I graduated with my master‘s degree in Information and Library Sciences.

This book would best be used in a young elementary classroom, to teach students cause and effect of their actions. The students could point out what the main character did well and not so well.

Award winning- A little creature finds a hat that doesn't belong to him. He tries it on and it fits perfectly. But soon, the hat's rightful owner, a big, grumpy bird, appears. The little creature must decide whether to keep the hat or return it. Klassen's signature minimalist style and humor create a funny and thought-provoking tale about ownership, identity, and the consequences of our actions.

I would use this in my classroom to talk about foreshadowing, because on each page there are two windows which show other actions occurring throughout the story that can help you predict what‘s going to happen.

The Hat by Jan Brett is s story about a hedgehog named Hedgy who gets a winter hat that few away in a winter storm stuck on his pack. All the other animals passed him one at a time and either laughed or said nothing hedgy was starting to feel embarrassed when all the animals ran past him with winter clothes on.

“No. Why are you asking me. I haven't seen it. I haven't seen any hats anywhere. I would not steal a hat. Don't ask me any more questions.”
