LibrarianRyan @TamarackTrail I think so. A girl gets her first kiss but that is about it. I have only read the first book. I don't remember anything standing out as too old. 7y

TamarackTrail @LibrarianRyan thanks a lot. The cover I found looked like it would be for an older age so I was hesitant. She's definitely a future Litsy user, so it's hard for me to keep up with her "already read" pile ? 7y

LibrarianRyan @TamarackTrail the paper back have the girls in dresses that does make it look older. If I remember the main character is about 15. I hope she likes them. I loved the first one and wasn't expecting to. 7y

Geoffrey Blainey coined the term “black armband view of history” and has been a conservative voice in Australia‘s History Wars. This book is certainly an old white man‘s version of events, but it sounds quite rigorous too. I‘ll be interested to read it. #historystickstoyourfeet #tuneintonovember

My culinary geek side loves learning about the history behind different foods & drinks, cuisines, why we eat what we do & even what historical figures ate. Some of these I've read & others are in my #TBR stacks. 🍽📚💙

Wild Swans tells the story of three generations of Chinese women - from a concubine with bound feet, to a member of the Communist party, to a Red Guard who is sent to live as a peasant in the Cultural Revolution. Each generation is affected by the one before and their #historystickstotheirfeet

This is a classic of bio/memoir writing. And a page turner!
