I had a great December reading month, buoyed by days off at the end if the month. I finished 22 books A couple were short stories & the cumulation of a year-long daily read but I also had one chunkster of an audiobook.

I finished books for #SundayBuddyRead #ChildrensClassicRead2025 #NancyDrewBR
#BobWhiteBuddies #EBBR #MonthlyNonFiction #ThematicCozies

DebinHawaii … A good mix of genres & four audiobooks. Favorites were King Sorrow, First Sign of Danger, The Women of Wild Hill, The Hollow Places & Winter In the Blood. I also made it through 60% of The Ordeals which I will finish today. (edited) 2d

"What do we do when our hearts hurt?"
"We wrap them with friendship, shared tears and time, till they wake hopeful and happy again."

My best friend loaned me this book, and now I'm on Thriftbooks finding a copy for me. Such a sweet, positive book for all ages.

TheBookHippie I love these books. 2w

Nominated for the 2026 Washington Children's Choice Award ?? I've read this book to all my K-5 classes. We have a core value, "We all belong". And this book spoke to that. We will revisit the book soon when the character trait for the month is empathy. 2 books this year feature unhoused characters and I worried they would be uncomfortable reads, but the students were interested and thoughtful. I ❤️ this book!

This is a cute book. Why is Bear wearing only underwear in public? Well, because grandma sent them to him, of course. #ISpyBingoNov @TheAromaofBooks

This book works well for lessons on kindness, empathy, and community. You can use it to start conversations about being a good friend, showing care, and creating a safe classroom environment. It also supports social emotional learning in a simple and accessible way.

Hello, Neighbor! is a warm and gentle tribute to Mister Rogers. Matthew Cordell captures the quiet kindness and calm spirit that made Fred Rogers so beloved. The illustrations feel soft and inviting, and the story reminds readers that small acts of care can make a big difference.
