I settled into this smugly certain I was going to love it, and then for the first half of so I just didn‘t. In fact I nearly did another DNF. I‘m glad I didn‘t however, because ultimately it was beautifully sad and haunting, and now I can‘t shake it off.

lil1inblue @mcctrish 😂 Excellent point. There's just #somanydicks in this book! 3mo
willaful @mcctrish Different types. The one who has no idea she's a dick and the one who knows but keeps doing it anyway. 🙄 3mo
ElizaMarie The first 6 months of the marriage are the hardest? Really!? 3mo
mcctrish @ElizaMarie I mean if you‘ve never been told about sex or been allowed to have an opinion ….. 3mo
Clare-Dragonfly Newland seems to expect they‘ll have children but if May‘s features are still “virginal” at the end of their honeymoon I‘m not so sure 😬 3mo
Cuilin @Clare-Dragonfly yeah the “virginal” and the “6 months” has me 🤔 3mo
Cuilin @ElizaMarie Yeah, this is literally the honeymoon!! There‘s a reason we say “the honeymoon is over” to denote the challenging times are next. 🤔 3mo

I kept waiting for something to actually happen and it didn't, and then the last quarter of the book it all did.

Mehso-so

A strong start, but a bizarre storyline that is drawn out. Newlyweds go to bora bora for their honeymoon where they stumble upon a plane wreck undersea and large fortune and diamonds locked in a bag. They decide to keep the assets for themselves, but soon realize there are people hot on their trail. Will these average joes be able to evade high end criminals?

I enjoyed reading this mystery for my local book club, but I don‘t really know why, since I found the main character so irritating! All in all, it was still entertaining!

I could not get into this one. I don‘t feel connections to the characters and can‘t get into a reading flow. I wanted to love it because my bff sent it to me and it has a cool title and cover, but there are so many other books to read, I‘m not wasting my time on it right now. What makes me want to read a little more, is as I just searched on google and Ed Helms may be making it into a movie, and I he‘s pretty funny… maybe I‘ll come back someday.
