I listened to the audiobook and loved it because Pamela read it. I‘ve always been a fan of her, always, so maybe I‘m biased. I also just saw her in The Last Showgirl and that was fantastic. She‘s an incredible woman and I feel so lucky that she shared her memoir with us.

It was nice to revisit it and read it again after so many years. I am happy to say that it feels even more relevant than ever before, still super easy to read and very thought-provoking. Highly recommended!

This was a tough read, but also an inspiring one. Pamela put up with a lot…abuse, media slurs, unscrupulous people & some very outrageous men. Still, she persevered. She found much solace & courage in a variety of spiritual books. I had no idea she was such an avid reader or that she appeared on stage as Roxy in Chicago. Loved the stories about her sons & her empowering posse of friends.
Thanks @catiewithac for the gift of this moving memoir.🤗❤️

“The actress, activist, and once infamous Playboy Playmate reclaims the narrative of her life in a memoir that defies expectation in both content and approach, blending searing prose with snippets of original poetry.”

⭐️⭐️ okay. So I am finding that regardless if you‘ve lead an interesting life, it can still be boring on paper. Another celebrity memoir that did not have the 💫Paris Hilton💫 sparkle✨ I was bored and not into the poetry.

This was a really interesting memoir. It definitely was very similar to the documentary but got into a little more detail about Pamela‘s life before she met Tommy Lee. With all of the different takes on her past, I found it really interesting to hear about everything in her own voice. Her story is sad in a lot of parts, but also inspiring to learn about how much she overcame in her life to end up strong and reflective about it today.

Audiobook, went by fast. What stood out for me was the men in her life. She seemed to be drawn to the volatile ones repeatedly which seems logical since her father was too. Otherwise it seemed to be honest. But I wanted her to dig deeper. A so-so for me.

Surprisingly good. And I know that I‘m being judgmental with that comment. Stereotypes being what they are. This is a story of abuse, to fame, to more abuse, to contentment. She wouldn‘t have gone where she did without her looks and she doesn‘t deny that. But in the process she learned from the influential people she‘s met. Dabbled in a little poetry. And after a life of excess and public relationships settles down to being a mom. Not a bad story.
