Thank you @Eggs for the #WondrousWednesday tag 😍

1️⃣ I did the #ValentineCardSwap hosted by @TheBookHippie 💌📬

2️⃣ Hmm… I‘m not sure I do completely. I do believe there are people we deeply connect with at a soul level at different times & not always romantically, but I think there can be more than one.🤷🏻‍♀️

3️⃣ At home, relaxing with good food & something 🍫 & a good book.

Play along if you have not yet & want to. 🤗

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Happy Valentine‘s Day 🩷 10mo
Eggs Thanks for playing Deb and I hope your day was great ♥️♥️ 10mo

I greatly enjoyed this book. Some of this information was absolutely revolutionary to me. Some of it I already knew, but he took those a step or more - further than I dared take them previously - to their logical end. There is nothing shocking about this book, honestly.

GingerAntics If one has thought critically about all the stories one has been told as a child and compared them with the actions of the story tellers, this falls right in line with what you already know, but adds more to broaden that understanding. I can definitely see this as a conversation starter for the open minded, and would gladly read it again with a good group. 11mo

EvieBee @BarbaraBB Didn‘t you love it?! It was the oddest thing ever. Not my usual fare. 3y
BarbaraBB @EvieBee So odd. I especially loved the games. The other storyline was a bit confusing I think. 3y

Betsy Who Cried Wolf | Gail Carson Levine

Pickpick

The spunky, strong-willed, eight-year-old Betsy plans to be the best shepherd in history. As you follow Betsy through this TL book on her adventure, the story begins to seem very familiar...until, Betsy learns that Zimmo (the wolf) wasn‘t after the sheep at all. Really, he just wanted some pie! Come to find out, he was even a great shepherd. By the end, Betsy and Zimmo become friends and herd together.

TabathaA This award-winning book (IRA/CBC Children's Choice) would be presented as a RT. Utilize UDL1.3 (offer alternatives for visual information) and EL 17 (provide contextual support through audio visuals, models, demonstrations, realia, body language, and facial expressions). EL 9 (teach note-taking strategies – t-lists, timelines, etc.) would also be a great tool for comparing the two stories. (edited) 4y
StephanyNunez I like the the lesson plans you included. I like that lesson plans include introductions to vocabulary and guided reading. 4y

KeanaE I love the resource you included, very informational. 4y
ztorres I can't wait to read this book, it seems like a fun one. Especially because its about a eight year old and students love reading books that they can relate too. I also enjoyed the resources you provided. It is excellent to use with the students during learning centers. 4y
PatriciaS Great review 👍 thanks for the lesson plan helps educators as we prepare for our educational endeavors 4y
Betrinag I‘m really a sucker for twists on classics! Students are immediately engaged because they are familiar with the story, and they remain hooked when they realize it‘s a different story from what they know! I‘ll always agree that these kinds of books are great adds to the classroom library. 4y
Sdemps I love reading TL and this seems like a great one to add to my growing classroom library. RT as a teaching strategy lined up perfectly with your chosen UDL and EL. 4y
DrSpalding Excellent job utilizing the author‘s website and going above and beyond by adding two different lesson plans. Variants of traditional literature like this are wonderful books to compare, text to text for similarities and differences. 4y
