There turn out to be a good number of books about marriages that seem loving and collaborative, but turn out to be bitter and full of lies. Out of this category, these books are my #mosthatedmostloved --which do you think is which? 🙃 #autumnreads

MinDea Oh man. I seriously did not like Fates and Furies. 7y
EllieDottie Hmmm I haven't read either of these but I'll take a guess and say you loved Fates and Furies! 7y
Natasha.C.Barnes @MinDea @EllieDottie After I finished Fates and Furies I didn't love it as much as I did while listening, but it's still a love when compared to The Wife! I loved The Interestings (also be Meg Wolitzer) but The Wife is so so so so bad. 7y

#autumnreads #mosthatedmostloved was hard, not the hate part b/c there are few books I hate more than 1984 (tho probably Ballard's Crash, I hated it to the point of getting rid of it) but love was hard because I'm terrible with favourites. I I thought of something I would re-read (rare for me) and something that I've loved almost every word of, the sonnets did it. I laughed, cried, felt hollowed and filled-these changed the way I saw the world.💜

llwheeler Ughhh Crash, I didn't finish it and I got rid of my copy too. But I loved both 1984 and Neruda (in very different ways) 7y
Andrea4 @llwheeler yea i don't really hate 1984 I guess, dislike, but Crash straight up hate! 7y

I liked Into The Water much better than The Girl On The Train... Although I had to take notes to keep up with the characters!!! Lol
I wouldn't say I loved it though!!

#mosthatedmostloved #autumnreads

swishandflick So interesting, her books seem to be so polarizing. I actually felt the opposite! 7y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Most people like tgott better!! I'm always in the minority on these things!! Lol 7y
CocoReads @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I liked Into The Water more than I thought I would but even though I have Girl on the Train on my shelves, I have no desire to pick it up. 7y

emilyhaldi I haven't attempted to pick it up yet either 😖 7y
Lola Ha! I actually really liked Into the Water. I thought it was much better than The Girl on the Train-which I liked but didn't love. I really love this visual :) 7y

jbhops I felt the same way about Into the Water. I could not get past the first few chapters. 7y
JoeStalksBeck @Reviewsbylola @emilyhaldi @lola @jbhops ITW had too much filler and was too predictable for me . 🤷‍♀️ TGD was 💯 for me. I think it's her best book ❤️😃 7y
bedandabook I agreed with you about Into The Water. Karin Slaughter is an author I've always meant to get round to reading. Is The Good Daughter a stand alone book or part of a series, do you know? 7y
JoeStalksBeck @bedandabook it's a stand alone. It's well worth you time to read this one! 7y
bedandabook Thank you, I definitely shall do! 7y

Most hated- The Hobbit. (dis)Honorable mention for hated books would go to The Red Badge of Courage and Eat, Pray, Love

Most loved- A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. Honorable mention would go to The Tender Bar. I love books with a NYC setting.

Most hated: The Hobbit - I'm not into much fantasy, so I'm sorry, but I really disliked it

Most loved: Pride and Prejudice - very opposite spectrum (and I know a most hated by many of my friends...they don't understand my obsession with everything Austen)

I love how this book community recognizes everyone's interests and does not disparage over someone disliking a particular book or genre...thank you everyone! #mosthatedmostloved #autumnreads

Hollie I loathed The Hobbit as well 7y
Librarybelle Glad I'm not the only one, @Hollie ! 7y
TrishB Room for all books 😀 7y
GondorGirl It's funny, because I have the exact opposite opinions on those two books! 😂 7y
Librarybelle Haha, @GondorGirl ! I couldn't agree with @TrishB , there is room for all books and opinions! 7y
