1) No one knows that our main protagonist is locked in her coma and can hear everything.
2) No one knows what happened to her when she was "mugged"
3) No one knows if she will ever wake up.

Some are a bit better written than others, but even ones like the Dark series by Christine Feehan I still enjoy listening to on audiobook form when I just want something easy to listen to, not anything I really have to think about. #nooneknows what Jorg is going to do next. A compelling anti-hero. A great author. If you don't like violence this isn't for you - Jorg's is a very violent world. One of the best endings to a fantasy series I've read.
