I‘m sure someone‘s already posted this today, but this my favourite book #setinireland.
Happy St Patrick‘s Day! ☘️
This #StPatricksDay, I'm revisiting a book I discovered on a trip to Dublin: the story of 17-year old Rose, pregnant and hoping to marry her boyfriend. Instead, she‘s sent from her native Boston to a Mother and Baby home in Ireland, where her aunt is a nun. Years later, in Dublin, the daughter she was forced to give up comes to find her. #SetInIreland #magnificentmarch #MarchMadness

Day 2 - #SettinginEurope #DearDecember #HeartandSoul #MaeveBinchy #SetinIreland
Currently reading with others as a group read. I have been reading through Maeve Binchy‘s books all year and discussing them with others. They are great books!
Not quite what I was expecting, but still interesting. This book is a collection of faeries stories collected by William Butler Yeats around his beloved Ireland.
Which works for my #Scarathalon theme for #TeamStoker (3 pts) & my prompt from WAY back in Winter for #Booked2019 #SetInIreland #IrishAuthor
But I have to say, with the way we view horror today, people being “disappeared” to faerie, and visions & haunting isn‘t quite as scary.
Sorry for the delay!! My Winter #Booked2019 reads were: 📖#FemaleDetective=A Beautiful Corpse📖 #FairytaleRetelling=A Wicked Thing📖 #HappyPlace=Love, Lucy📖 #RelatedtoPodcast=Death on the Devil‘s Teeth📖 #SetInIreland=The Ruin📖 #NewToYouAuthor=Sleeping Giants📖
The plot lines are solid. I was taken along to follow a smart mystery set in a grey and dark Ireland. Not violent physically but the emotional and psychological violence is real and sometimes very much so. Trigger warnings in effect.
