Starting to feel like Tom Taylor is the guy you call if you need to inject some light and hope into a superhero storyline. Dick Grayson is generally more cheerful and chatty than other members of the Bat family, but I haven't explored much of Nightwing in Blüdhaven in comics and I'm glad to see a corrupt city cast in Taylor's upbeat 'things can change' framing. Bruno Redondo's art really emphasises the humour, action and heart.

Ah, sidekicks. These days, my accepted status as a grumpy Old means I tend to avoid stories with teenage protagonists because what is perfectly reasonable behaviour for an adolescent bugs the crap out of me as a reader. This was realistic and upsetting and sad, but as with the theme of this series in particular, also hopeful. Dan Mora's art continues to slay me. I did love the retro circus save the animals story at the beginning!

Just hanging out. Batman in full goth 'BE the bat' mode hanging upside down from the roof of his cave and Superman and another floating colorful character keeping him company. 😂

This was a fun story, and I'll continue the series because I do like the story and am interested in it's progression, and sometimes you just want to read something fun and maybe also filthy. There was some good dirty smut, but there were times when I felt like the book dragged on and I just wanted the story to get on with it.
