My favorite book this month was The Horned God of the Witches and it also beat out Wild Dark Shore for the next bracket 💙

I loved this book and completely recommend it. It seems that a lot of witches or just me tend to ignore the Gods in favor of the Goddesses. This book discusses the Gods like Pan and Cernunnos, those that fit the Horned archetype. It's very informative and well written.
I listened to the audiobook which was also good for pronunciations 💙

In this book Laura Tempest Zakroff discusses her path and how to weave old traditions with modern witchcraft. I loved it 🦉

Thank you so much, Chrissy @Chrissyreadit I love everything. The witch's hat is so cute, and the tarot cards are gorgeous. I can't wait to start on the books. The coffee smells fantastic. I love the crystals, and I already hung up the Happy Halloween sign. You know me so well 🖤🐈⬛🖤

3/5⭐ If you're going to read this book, I recommend that you already be familiar with magical theories and practices so you can better parse the context of what the author says, take the useful parts, and discard the problematic ones. #roll100

This book is written by Christine Grace, one of the cohosts from the podcast Betwixt and Between. It was a rather quick read, so I fully intend to go back through it more slowly. It is advertised as keys to traditional witchcraft, but I found that it leaned more towards hedge witchery & ancestor worship.

This would have been a good book to have years ago, when I was a solitary practitioner, looking for a deeper practice into the old ways which Wicca couldn‘t provide. Pagan ways still fascinate me but I no longer believe many of the things I once did. Traditional Witchcraft is different in that it is more primitive. If that calls to you, this book is for you.
