Ok back out of my slump and in the game! I got this #arc and picked it up while on vacation! I‘m usually a light fluffy reader on vacation—but this book was calling to me! It was SO good, but in a jarring, make you sick way. It‘s one that will stick with me for a while, but I can‘t say I loved the book. 5* #advancedreaderscopy #findsadie #wednesdaybooks

I was definitely NOT looking forward to this book club read—I was not a fan of her other book and it took me a long time to pick it up, but book club was looming so I finally forced myself to.

WOW. This book is stunning. The tale of Evelyn Hugo is spell binding. I honestly hated every time I had to put it down. I couldn‘t get enough of it—but at the same time I didn‘t need more. It was perfection.

I really enjoyed this book, and loved hearing everything in Chrissy‘s voice. I loved her story and her point of view. I felt like the book itself tried to be a little more than it was, like it just could have used some focused editing. But I still really loved it. 4*

This book was a bit of a slow burn for me. I was interested but not intensely captivated at first, but it drew me in slowly and gave me a lot to think about, particularly after being in a bad accident last weekend. I did love all the parallels it drew between things, and I think it‘s a great discussion book. I found myself warming slowly to each sibling during their story in a way that really compelled me. 4.5*

monalyisha I did find that I warmed to each story, but also that it was too little too late (part of the point? Still not engaging to read. 😉) 6y

I generally really like Kate Hudson and you can tell the positivity that radiates from this book. There‘s a lot of good information, but in the end I felt like it was very repetitive. 3.5*

I struggled with the different styles of writing st first (it hops back and forth with dialogue, letters, articles, etc), but once I got used to it, it was no big deal. The story is one of those that makes you continuously think, and I absolutely loved it. 5*

This is a good collection of stories with hinted at events, but I feel like it could have been better. It‘s not like Assassins Blade to Thrne of Glass where you gain SO much more—these definitely aren‘t can‘t miss, though I still enjoyed them. 3*

I loved this one! It was a really good read and good follow up to Three Dark Crowns! It wasn‘t quite the cliffhanger as the first, but that‘s probably a good thing since we have to wait now! I really loved Arsinoe and Mirabella‘s development, but Billy annoyed me in this one. I can‘t wait for the next! 4.5* Potions OWL (#10!) competed for #OWLsReadathon2018!

I struggled rating and reviewing this one. I can tell it‘s a good book, I just didn‘t get there. I felt very disconnected to it, in a way I wasn‘t with some of the really good historical fiction out now. It‘s a good story, I just felt I couldn‘t get lost in it the way I normally do. 3*. This book was ok, but it seemed like a lot of a jumbled mess. There were too many different ideas that weren‘t fully fleshed out and I feel like a lot of editing for clarity was needed. I did enjoy it, particularly at the end. 3.25*

I completely loved this book! The second half of it was exactly what I‘ve been wanting! My only complaint is that the first few chapters just skip SO much that it throws you off a lot. I feel like this story could have been fleshed out so much more into a longer series, and it leaves a lot wanting shoving it into 2. 2nd OWL passed (Transfiguration) for the #OWLsReadathon2018 4*

I LOVED this book! It really was a great mix of feminism, comedy, mystery, culture, and so much more. I was a bit worried some things would go over my Head culturally, but it wasn‘t that way at all. I devoured this book! It also wasn‘t TOO steamy, but definitely wouldn‘t recommend if you‘re not into erotic reading at all. There‘s a decent level of it but nothing crazy at all. 4.5*

This book blew my mind in all the right ways. First of all, an introverted main character? Yes please! I felt really connected to Eliza for a lot of different reasons, and really related to her in ways I didn‘t expect. I feel like I have some sort of insight into her experiences with mine of creating a fairly large and massively active Facebook group. It definitely made me reflect on my support system. One of my instant favorites ❤️ 5*
