Better known for her role as Princess Leia and in the Star Wars universe, she was an accomplished author. Her first novel was published in 1987. She published several memiors outlining her battle with drugs, alcohol and mental illness. In 2017 she recieved a Hugo Award for her last book, The Princess Diarist. In 2018, she won a Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album for the same title.

Critically acclaimed author, Jo came to fame in 1997 when the first Harry Potter hit the shelves. She was a single mother living in poverty and suffered from depression. She is a true 'rags to riches' story and in 2004 was named the first billonare author. In 2013, Jo released her first Coraman Strike mystery under the pen name of Robert Galbraith.
