Just a girl who really loves books and biochemistry.

This book was really god at explaining homelessness from a child's perspective. However, that means that it didnt really dive into the seriousness of homelessness. It was nice for me, but my little brother (who I read this with) still does not grasp how serious it all was.
First book of 2020!!

Wow. I loved the Netflix series, but I love the book more. Joe is literally insane. He loves so hard and so viciously, but he is absolutely crazy.

🥰 I have never read a book like this before. I'm usually a fantasy girl. This book was amazing and so so cute. I feel warm, and I relate so much to Frank, the main character. To be so full of love for others but so oblivious to the fact that you are worthy of love. 10 out of 10. Will be buying this as Christmas gifts for friends.

Yep, this one beat out The Fountainhead for my favorite book. It was amazing! Mildly suspenseful, funny, and very inspirational. A group of friends are terrorized by a child-eating monster living under their town. They band together and realized that their friendship gives them the power to overcome any obstacles. In the future, they don't even remember each other, but are forever changed by the belief that their friends had in them. ❤🤡

So close so close so close! 🎈🎈🤡🕷 I can't believe I'm almost done. This is the first book to challenge my favorite book in six years... it may even beat out The Fountainhead for the top spot!!

Ugh Tyrion come on... No wonder the north prefers to have it's own king. They're the only people who understand what the north is really like and what they have to protect King's Landing from (if the Watch fails).

Does anyone else just completely fall asleep during the Jon Snow chapters? I'm sorry, but I'm only here for Renly, Sansa, and Tyrion right now. I never thought that Jon was particularly interesting.

Oh Ser Davos... you are so right ? I am hoping that George R. R. Martin keeps his ending from the television show when writing his books. It made the most sense, especially with how Dany is portrayed in the show. Book Dany is very different, so I'm intrigued by the kind of development she will show to get there.

Bringing a book in to work to read during "lunch break" is so dangerous... ?

cherinium And, that's why I don't! When I even get a lunch break, it's important to be sure I am back where I need to be in a timely fashion. 6mo

The first time I read this book, I hated it. My English teacher told me that it was because I "understood what was really happening". It took me WAY TOO LONG to finish this again, as the book drags on, but everything after Lydia's marriage has saved it and given this book a pick rating from me. It's good. I wouldn't read it once a year, but maybe once every 5. Mr. Darcy came a long way, and I truly believe that love can change anything and anyone.

TheReadingMermaid It's okay if your numbers aren't so hi sweetheart. Remember that the point of the read-a-thon is to read and have fun with your fellow littens. ❤️ So if you are having fun then you are meeting the goal 😉 6mo

I used to read all of the time when I was younger. I would carry two books on the car ride to the supermarket just to make sure I'd never be without one. When I went to college, it was SO HARD to read because biochemistry is no easy feat. Last year, when I graduated, I still only read 3 books because I was settling in to my new lab tech job. This year, I set out to beat that number. I present to you: book number 4 😁

Kaylamburson Great goal!! I know I didn't read for fun at all during school, but finally back to reading a ton. Welcome to Litsy!!!! 8mo
MidnightBookGirl Haha, I work in a bookstore near several major universities, and we often get grads who FINALLY have time to read for pleasure and it's the best thing to load them up with books they've missed out on for years. ;) 8mo

rretzler Yes, this was me too. College years and early working years were difficult for book reading. Kids are hard on book reading too - except for picture books! Now with a 17 yo and a 14 yo, I‘m managing 175 or so a year! 😁 So hang in there, it does take awhile but I promise you, you will get to a point where you can read a lot more...eventually! 😂 8mo

I was a little wrong about how this book would end. I usually don't like when YA romance novels get technical with their science, but this one was done very well. 10/10 would recommend dredging through the first two books to read this one.

So she must have realized that her series was predictable because she MADE XANDER DO SOMETHING HE WOULDN'T DO. Or she decided to further develop her characters because she didn't develop him in the first book.
